I came here for an eye exam because it was a convenient location. I went in with the intention of getting an exam for an updated prescription and then ordering contact lenses. The doctor gave me a very basic check up. So basic that I felt that it was too short and not thorough enough. I would usually expect the doctor to check my eye health since I was purchasing contact lenses. The doctor convinced me to buy a generic brand for contacts which she convinced me was the equivalent to Acuvues. I mentioned that I was looking for contacts that are thinner and allow more air through so my eyes could breathe. I had an infection in my left eye before so that particular eye needs the most breathable lense or a constricted blood vessel could migrate into the center of my pupil. She convinced me that these were better and all the rest was big business marketing. I bought the contacts and eventually found out these were not the thinner breathable type of lenses but the older technology of contact lenses. I was furious and I went back to the store demanding an exchange. They acted very nice about it and told me they would grant me an even exchange and they would call me in a week when the ordered lenses have arrived. One week passes - Two week passes. I went back to the store and the staff told me I had to pay more to get replacement lenses since the ones I bought were generic. So basically they wanted me to bring back my one year supply to exchange for a 6 month supply even though there was a notation on my record that the doctor has approved an even exchange. The didn't have the exchange in stock and I would have had to wait 2 more weeks. I disputed to the manager that I initially came here looking for breathable lenses to only be lied to by the doctor that the generic brands were just as good. They told me they would call me in a week when the exchange was completed. That week and gone and past. Every time I call back...its back to square one and no one has followed up on my dispute. I do not recommend getting your optical needs here. There are better places with better business ethics. A doctor who does not practice preventative care is one you should avoid at all costs. I was just disgusted at the way this store is run and how they treat their customers. Stay Away! more
