This "Spa" was an awful and creepy experience from start to finish. I made the mistake of buying a groupon for a massage here to try to save a few bucks.
1. Decrepit building outside; the inside was just as bad with kooky knick knacks and very odd decor. Random sheets stapled to walls to hide flaws in the building.
2. The mean scary receptionist that was rude to me when she called to remind me of my appointment and would not believe me when I told her she had the wrong time/person.
3. Intense tipping pressure. I am very generous with my tips and don't appreciate an overbearing receptionist loudly and publicly asking several times about the tip. She did this to everyone as they checked in and out.
4. The intake form that I had to fill out before being seen literally makes you sign something stating that you are aware that this is not a sex shop. No happy endings here. I have been to so many professional massage studios and have never had to sign something like this.
5. The actual massage room was so uncomfortable. The sheets looked like worn out mismatched sheets someone brought from home and I'm not 100% sure they were clean. There was a dirty basket on the floor that I was told to put my clothes in. There was no music, and when I asked about this, the massage therapist could not turn on any music because his phone was dead. Why was the music dependent on his phone??
6. The actual massage was extremely unprofessional. Did not keep the drape where it needed to be. When he did use the drape, he tucked it into my butt crack!!! Way too much oil, then randomly gave me a scalp massage and got all the oil in my hair. He. Would. Not. Stop. Talking. Eventually I just stopped answering and let him talk to himself. It was impossible to relax. This person is obviously not an actual massage therapist. Felt like getting a crappy massage from a bad date.
7. The crotchety receptionist
