medical neglect for 14 month old son 9/7/2018

On Tuesday 4th of September, 2018, my son, who had had a fever since the Friday before developed higher temperatures above 102. He was also bitten by something near the left side temple which cause his temple area to swell to the size of a plum. He was constantly crying in pain and pulling his left ear. I told my wife take him to ER once she sent me photo of this lump, then i left work to meet them there. Upon arriving i spoke to the physician in charge, an Asian doctor who would not give me his name later that evening when i asked. He seemed very cold, rude, and not inclined to tell me much about what he was doing. I saw him about to put a catherer up my son's urethra to get pee. I knew this procedure to be painful for a grown man much less an infant already suffering in pain. I also know that Coney Island pediatric ER had an alternative way to get urine that was not invasive and painful, because they did it before another time we took our son. This doctor got upset at my refusal to allow the more painful methodology, and stated, "i don't let parents tell me what to do, either we do it this way or he will not be treated here." after 15 mins or arguing with this doctor i took my son and waited the following day for him to see his pediatrician. the pediatrician discovered my son's left ear drum was busted, it was leaking wax, and he had a bacterial infection. All of this without putting a catherer up his urethra. he prescribed local antibitotics for his ear and oral for his general infection. This doctor did not care about my son's welfare, health, nor life. He was arrogant, insisted on causing my son unneccessary pain, and did not care if my son was injured or not. I will never take my son nor anyone of my family to this horrible hospital. more
