My son was at Kindred long enough for me to see the great care they give to the patients and the families. The care came from everyone. I was greeted when I arrived by Tasha, who always had such a beautiful smile and made me feel welcome. The nurse supervisor, Danita, was professional and reassuring. Brenda, the case manager, called when she said she would and was also reassuring. The housekeeping staff were friendly and caring. I really appreciated the team huddle, when I was able to see, all at the same time, the number of professionals involved in and guiding his care. Trisha started off our stay with her welcoming and reassuring ways and ended it with a kind phone call to see how his transition went to his new facility. It was scary seeing my son, who used to be the strong one taking care of me, become so helpless and vulnerable. I had to entrust his care to the staff at Kindred and I am so thankful they truly cared for him. And me.
