I had a closet designed for my spare bedroom. It was explained to the designer the reason the closet was being redone as to accomodate my parents who visit for a month in the summer. I further explained I would need shelving because the room does not have a dresser for folded clothes. This was stressed. The closets was put in and immediately I noted the shelves where not wide enough to hold clothes. The installers told me to call the office to see what they could do. It has been 4 months since installation. They have done nothing but stall and send me a quote which would have me throwing away the closet I have and purchasing a brand new closet. Note the closet shelves are only 11" deep. I can not even put towels or sheets on it without them falling off. Further on the Hanging clothes side, when My dad who is only 5 foot 10" and is normal weight, could not hang a shirt without it hanging onto the clothes below. I recently went to home depot and I measured the ClosetMate brand shelves. This is a low end closet organization solution. There shelves are 15" deep. This is industry standard. Closet by Design is a ripoff. Do not work with them.
