Tech arrived early, worked efficiently, explained things as he went along (when I was looking over his shoulder) got done quickly, leaving everything neat and tidy; system is working efficiently, quietly, well. The outside unit is a lot bigger, but that's apparently due to the change in refrigerant under new environmental regs.
