Justin V. did a good job of explaining what the trouble was. He also recommended and installed an extension to the opener that allowed the 8' door to fully open. We have lived here for 19 years and this is the first time we can fully open the garage door. He also lubricated and adjusted all the moving parts of the door, it has never worked better.
