On June 18, 2015 I just happened to discover water dripping from the ceiling in my cedar closet onto all the clothes inside!!!! This on the night before I was leaving town by plane early the next morning for the weekend! Before leaving town I emptied that closet, put plastic down on the floor and set buckets on top of it and called Uptown Plumbing for their earliest possible appointment the following Monday.
I called on Uptown Plumbing due to rave reviews for their work from a trusted friend to check if the ac system or the roof was the source of the leak. As it turned out, water was not due to my central air but to the roof!
After checking out my 25 year old ac central system and its various components, they discovered that it was on its last legs, "overcharged", running on a charging material being phased out, and generally working poorly. Due to the excellent information provided by the technicians mentioned and the rave referral from my friend, I was confident that it was time for a new system and signed up with Uptown Plumbing the same day they came out to check the ac system and the leak, Monday June 22, 2015!
They found and marked the location of the roof leak for the roof repair people and called Rob to come out and describe my new system options to me.
As a result, they removed the old system and installed the new one two days later. They had arrived at 7:30 AM that morning and were ready to leave at 4:15 PM The installers were efficient, considerate, helpful and courteous. They carefully cleaned up after themselves.
They will get all of my cooling, plumbing, and heating business from now on! I feel so good about my decision and the new system is working so much better than the old one.
