Lake Roslyn has been drained by PGE, and the dikes have been torn down. The property has been siting idle since then, and lots of cottonwood trees are growing in the former lakebed. BUT... there is one interesting item of note... the Oregon Zoo is in process of purchasing a large portion of the property, and make it a large Elephant habitat, where elephants can roam the countryside. So, next time you are in the neighborhood, you may soon hear elephants trumpeting.
