Bought twice from Robbie Hale. Each time a disappointment, but nothing like the second time.
Brick mortar issues (white mortar ordered, but they screwed it up and got red instead. Very sloppy mortar job.)
Plumbing issues (couldn't take a hot shower or bath in a new house, go figure. Oh, and one pipe shut off value built too close to the pipe to be able to turn. How did that pass state inspection?)
Electrical issues (found some unwired plug outlets, plus a switch kept throwing when trying to run AC)
AC issues (They used the cheapest south-of-the-border unit they could. Repairs have cost me more than the unit. Years of issues. Also, one bedroom still doesn't get cold AC airflow to it.)
Landscaping (hardly any. Had to get on them to finish laying grass for the front yard. Nothing in the back, just loose earth and weeds.)
Undersized garage (couldn't park a full size Toyota Tundra in it. Guess I'm out of luck during hail storms)
Fairly steep pricing for out-in-the-country location ($80/square foot or thereabouts in 2006 for ho hum location)
Warranty issues (I submitted a list and hardly anything ever addressed)
Bottom line is they just want your cash. And any concern you bring up to them, they'll just B.S. away; you wouldn't believe the excuses they gave me on why not to fix something. I would never use this builder again and VERY, VERY strongly recommend against it.
And someday, when I sell my house "as is" (because that's probably the only way I'm going to unload it), I'm going to rent a billboard in I30, center of Rockwall, and put pictures of the build quality of my home on it and note who it was built by, because the city to see what kind of builder this is.
