I was at the Gibran General Store several weeks ago and casually picked up a jar of the Strawberry Rubarb jam. It looked so cute and thought it would be a nice souvenir for our family.
We got home, refrigerated it and opened it like a day later. What a SURPRISE! This stuff was like nectar from the Gods. I am a finicky foodie from NYC where "homemade" jams and jellies are readily available. There was nothing like this stuff. Absolutely delicious. This store could make a business out of selling their jams alone.
I highly recommend this adorable little shop. Being from NY, I was cynical about the "Maine-made " jams but I was assured where they were made and sure enough it's in Maine.
Very pleased with the atmosphere of the shop and all the little trinkets they have.
