Let me say that initially all was good with Ackerman. They are more than eager to get your business. After signing on with them, I decided to get the wireless camera installed. Not only is the camera sub par, the salesman told me that the camera records locally. I find out that this was a flat out lie. Also, the technician had no knowledge of how the camera works. He installed it in a place where anyone could come by and knock it down. After speaking with the camera manufacturer, I realized that this camera tries to upload video. So it slows down your network considerably and the lag to upload video is more than enough time to disable or simply unplug it and no video is ever uploaded. After all this, they refused to give me a refund for the camera (even a day after it was installed). I wrote everyone in the company. I didn't even want the refund for the service visit, only the overpriced equipment that didn't work as advertised. They are the worst when it comes to customer service when money has to be refunded. I will never use Ackerman or any company that has a no return policy like this. Be aware. Their "local" company plug is BS. They are simply a typical corporation that uses any tactic to get your money. more
