Glad to Have a "Churrascaria" Back in Greenville 12/30/2011

Rodizios Brazilian Steakhouse is a new Brazilian restaurant in downtown Greenville. They've been open for about a month now, and I've been there several times. They offer a few different dining options, including salad buffet, plate of the day, and all-you-can-eat meat. I like the last option the best since a waiter comes around with different types of meat, you tell him which part of the meat you'd like, and he slices it off for you. Then he keeps coming around with the meat until you say you don't want any more. They sell Guaraná, the Brazilian soda, and I love it. They also serve you Brazilian cheese bread ("pão de queijo"). I love the cheese bread! The restaurant is family-run. That's good and bad. There's a cozy environment, but sometimes the service can be a bit slow. But the owners seem really receptive to feedback and seem to be willing to make adjustments to serve their patrons better. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes genuine Brazilian food, and especially to anyone who loves a good Brazilian "churrascaria." Note: I would recommend calling to make a reservation, especially if you want the all-you-can-eat meat option. You'll get better service if they're ready for you. Warning: the restaurant has posted hours on its website, but it doesn't always follow those hours. I guess it's a Brazilian thing. If you have any doubts about whether or not the restaurant is open, I'd call to make sure it is. That's all, folks! Viva Brasil! Viva the U.S.A.! Viva Greenville! more
