My wife bought a pair of glasses in December 2010. Asked for ultra thin lenses. When she picked them up she noticed that they were not that ultra thin. The sales lady with an attitude explained that they were ultra thin but due to her prescription they could not be thinner. However my wife has glasses with the same prescription made at other stores and they really are much thinner. After a very unpleasant conversation we gave up with the nasty lady. About two months later the frame broke from the joint. We took it back to be replaced as per the 1 year warrantee. They told us – showing their policy in the invoice – that we would be charged $10.00 for getting what supposed to be a good replacement frame. After we picked up the glass my wife did not use these glasses until a week ago. When she took out the glass to wear she noticed that it was still broken at the same joint. We took it back to the store because it was still within 12 th month since we bought and only 10 months since the replacement. The nasty lady Nina told us again their policy that they could not exchange nor repair it since it was 1 year already. The manager was not there therefore we had to deal with her. Tried to explain that it was never used since the repair therefore it was never really repaired but Nina started to yell at us in front of many other customers. She yelled at us to listen to her and did not show any willingness to listen to our problem. At the end of her tantrum she even showed us the door asking to leave the store.
It seems to be cheap when you buy it but if you cannot use the glasses, it is money thrown out the window. I say do yourself a favor and shop at a reputable place. You will pay a little bit more but at the end you will be able to use your glasses and if you have a problem all reputable stores fix them for free and with smiling faces. Even after the warranty.
