My wife and I went to Darwin's a couple of months ago to look for some living room furniture. We put a deposit down for a chair and ottoman with the stipulation that they would mail us a fabric sample for us to approve. They said they would wait to get our approvals before actually placing the order, if we didn't approve the deposit would go back on our credit card. We received the sample and didn't not like the color, so we did not give them our approval to order. A couple of weeks later the entire purchase price of the chair and ottoman was charged to my credit card. When I called to protest, all they had to say was that we ordered it, which of course we had not. I then asked to talk to the store manager who was very rude and said that if the sales person said we ordered it that he would believe them over us. The sales person lied just to get his commission! This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. While I liked some of the furniture there, I definitely warn you to stay away! I am still trying to get my money back, now through my credit card company. What a terrible experience! more
