Worst experience of my life! 8/8/2009

We had been looking forward to this dining experience because the Incline was where my husband both proposed and we renewed our vows there. Our daughter (9) wanted to get all dressed up and go. It was the worst dining experience of my life. For 4 cheesesticks it was 10 dollars. The salad had a fly-size bug in it to which the manager said "Well there is really nothing we can do to prevent that." They did offer a free dessert after our meal and took the salad off the bill---my stomach was sick after the rest of the meal! Onto the main course of which my husband and daughter both ordered 17.00 steak dinner. The steaks, ordered well done, came out brown on the outside and RAW in the middle. When we sent them back they just came back burnt on the outside and cooked in the middle. My dinner, the open faced turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes was decent but the potatoes were not mashed--they had huge chunks of potato in them along with the skins (large pieces) in it. The drinks sat empty with no offer for refill. When asked how our meal was and my husband told the manager about the steaks she did take one of the steaks off the bill and said, "Well I can't take the other one off because you are taking it home." We had asked for a to go container to take the steak home for the dogs because it certainly was not good enough for us to eat, had we known they would take it off the bill we wouldn't have asked to take it home. So for 3 people and paying for drinks, cheesesticks and one steak dinner with a salad it was 46 dollars. Now mind you I have no problem paying for food that is good, that was not a complaint. Had the food been good I wouldn't have minded the cost. I would not recommend this place to anyone.. you want the view, go visit the Incline Plane but grab dinner elsewhere!!!!!! more
