I had been seeing Dr. Merola for about 1 year and she was fine. Recently I had severe neck and shoulder radiating pain and she prescribed me muscle relaxants. When they did not help I called her after 2-3 days and asked for referral to Chiro that was refused and I was asked come see her. I explained that I work and cannot take that much time off from work. She suggested that I go to ER. Finally I made an appt with Austin Neck and Spine center and needed referral. They sent a request to her office and called 4-5 times and it was not done. I called her office and she said I was very demanding...and so on. I was blown off by her judgmental attitude and un-professionalism. I believe she needs to be more understanding rather than being judgmental. I would not recommend her to anyone. My records will be transferred to another PCP soon. I rate her Zero !
