i ordered two arrangements online for mothers day this year (2009). the first arrangement was not at all what i ordered. the photo online pictured beautiful deep blue/purple tulips. purple has special significance to this recipient, and i wanted tulips exactly that color (earlier that week, i saw tulips just like that at my grocery store, but since i live out of state i couldn't buy those). so i thought i knew what i was ordering. the tulips that were sent were lavender-ish. when i called to complain, HOF told me that they might not have gotten in any deep blue/purple flowers so they might have substituted with a different color. i told them i did not authorize them to substitute (i specifically did not check that box) and i wanted the color i ordered.
this is what really gets me: they delivered what were supposed to be the "right" color - it was not - and THEY TOOK BACK THE VASE AND OTHER FLOWERS and substituted with one that was SMALLER and did not fit the new flowers as well.
the other arrangement was fine, which is the only reason i am giving them two stars and not one.
