I was at Campo Verde with 8 people at our table. When the check arrived it had an automatic 20% gratuity added to it. We only saw our server (maybe) 3 times the entire meal. We even had to pour our tea re-fills! Two people at the table had sodas and their soda glasses were never refilled.
I complained to the Manager who threatened to call the Police on me if I didn't pay the extra gratuity, and told me to call the owner. He told me to open my eyes and look at the (small print) on the back of the menu. He refused to allow me to pay a smaller amount for the tip stating that "it was policy".
So, I called the owner, Mr. Williams, and he said that he would call me back after he could "find out what's going on around here". He never called me back. In fact, over a two week period I called him 3 more times, each time he stated that he would call me back after "he found out what was going on".
So, horrible service from the waitress, and an owner with ample opportunity to correct the issue but obviously won't is how Campo Verde chooses to take care of customers?
Me, and 7 others who were at my table will NEVER go back to Campo Verde.
