Usually it's because they've already got a brand new replacement for it. There are steelcase desks and cabinets galore, plust tons of computer equipment. I once bought to very good condition and perfectly working 19" monitors for $60! If your interest is towards the larger items, there are always random tractors and maintenance equipment types of things. Don't forget to bid on a used car!
