I've been looking for a hairstylist in this area for a long time... Then I found Patrick. He took time to listen to what I wanted and then actually did it! What a refreshing change. more

2 friends received haircuts from this salon, and they looked great. However, when I made an appointment for myself, they had several open slots and could make a same day appointment. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency and had to cancel the appointment. The receptionist was extremely rude to me when I had to cancel and even hung up on me! In terms of skill, they did a great job with my friends, in terms of customer service, they score poorly on my card. more

I found DB Sutton about six months ago and I wished I had found them sooner. When I first moved here, several people suggested Mina's and I went for about a year but it was usually a lousy experience (i.e. being told I forgot an appointment and would be billed when they booked it wrong in their scheduler). I love DB Sutton, they call to confirm, they are sensitive to your time and don't run late, and Rachael is warm and does a great cut and color! more

I've had my hair cut at some excellent, very chic salons in Boston, LA and Seattle, and DB Sutton is absolutely up to snuff. Rachel did a great cut and partial foil on me, and was friendly and efficient. My hair is important, but my time is too, and not a second was wasted. I was out the door in just over 1.5 hours. One week later, I am still totally impressed every time I look in the mirror. more

I travel all over the country, have a very public, outfront job. Unfortunately, I get most of my haircuts "on the fly." But when I have the time 3-4 times a year, I drive an hour to Chapel Hill to let David Sutton cut my hair and "straighten out" the mess others have made! Classically trained and techinically precise, very focused and best hairstylist I've seen anywhere in the U.S.! more

I moved to Durham two years ago from the New York City metropolitan area, and I was very uneasy about leaving my excellent stylist in Manhattan....I am more than neurotic about my personal appearance! However, David at DB Sutton has been cutting my hair for the past fifteen months, and I can honestly say that technically he is the best haircutter I have ever had (and I am in my fifties). He's also a wonderfully witty and intelligent fellow who creates a very warm, welcoming atmosphere in the shop. Now I'll never be able to move away from the Triangle! more

And I do. Whether it is from my home in Asheville or my home in the Caribbean I always go to this spectacular salon to get my hair cut and would trust nobody else to do it as well. Every single stylist in the salon is incredible. The training that David, the owner, provides for his staff through the Bumble and Bumble University in New York has helped to create a standard and consistency that can be depended on no matter who you see in his salon. The prices are especially reasonable. Other salons of this quality would charge at least double what they charge. I was stunned to read a report from a client who thought $50 was too much to pay for a good haircut! I have paid as much as $200 for cuts that were not in any way superior to what I get at D.B. Sutton and Co. There is not a day that someone doesn't tell me how beautiful my hair looks. That result is priceless! more

I have been going to D.B. Sutton for a year now to get my haircut- Everyone is wonderful there. I have just recently started to get my hair colored there as well. Now I ask myself, what took me so long? The prices are TOTALLY AFFORDABLE, especially when you see their work in the end. Priceless really! The staff and service within this salon were good, but not good enough to justify a $50 men's haircut that took a half hour. I definitely won't be back. more

Very nice people there. A nice place to be. It's very clean and it's not hard to get fit into a stylists schedule. I like the decor. People always ask me where I get my hair done. If you're new to the area or just looking for a new stylist, check this place out! more

Db Sutton & Co is a salon that just feels good to be in. Elegant, filled with natural light and good humor. Have had the best haircuts of my life there. Always look forward to going back. more
