Stay Away from Zorba's Freak Food! 1/29/2009

My family of 7 and I visited this restaurant and it was a nightmare! The bathroom was filthy. Plates at the buffet were dirty and several of the glass cups had unwashed lipstick marks on the rims. The Greek food was painfully average! The female staff were beyond rude and they failed to wash their hands after handling money at the register at least 3 times! They failed to honor our ""buy 9 and get 1 free meal"" card. They stated that they no longer honor the cards, despite the fact that NO expiration dates are not listed on the cards. Furthermore, the service was poor. 3 servers that wait on 25-30 tables. To top it off, they charged me for a 13 month-old child that didn't eat a thing. Yet they claim that they have a ""right to charge"" if you sit at the table regardless of age. Both servers said that the owner and his son make them charge for everything. This is beyond ridiculous! To top it off, they added a 20% tip on my credit card without asking. When I asked them to return my tip money they copped the biggest attitude and asked my family not to return. What a way to treat your customers Zorba's! I would suggest eating at Daphny's. Stay away from this dirty joint! Cons: Everything! more

RIP OFF 1/22/2009

We booked a party here over Christmas, thinking it's the bestest deal for a show and dinner buffet. We told the Manager this is not a company party but people from work are all going. We reserved 37 people and gave $10.00 deposit ahead of time. Last minute 8 people cancelled. I spoke with the manager explaining her th situation and she said it's fine. She went out on vacation. At the day of our party, I showed up prepared with all my paperworks and money. The food was good but not that much selection for a price they were charging us of $28.00 per person. The alcohol drinks are WAY over priced. 1 bottle of premium beeer for $6.50. End of the night I was being hammered to pay extra $80.00 for the people that did not show up. I explained to them that the manager and I spoke about the $80.00 extra was to be put on the tab. For some reason this was not relayed to the owner and the waitresses. They expected me to pay $80.00 for people that didn't even use their service. For a small company they should have just honored that $80.00 considering I sold over $300.00 worth of drinks for the restaurant. I AM NEVER GOING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. After a few weeks I got a phone call from the manager threatening us and my company for the merely $80.00 left which for some reason she don't remember conversating with me about. I WILL PAY THAT $80.00 to be the better person here but I WILL NOT SET FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN nor RECOMMEND IT. Pros: all you can eat gyro Cons: rip off, very cheap people and greedy more

Never Again- total rip off 9/5/2008

Walked in, was seated, asked by waitress if we wanted the buffet, we said yes- didn't find out til later it was $18.95 each for about 12 selections. Waitress's were more interested in visiting with each other than serving the guest. When we paid, they automatically charged the two of us $9.00 for a tip. When I asked why, they said it was automatic on friday and saturday, and it stated so on the menu. I told her- you never gave us a menu. The food was overcooked, dry and no flavor. Pros: Watermelon and desserts were good. Cons: Everything else sucked more

Great Selection of Greek Food 2/11/2008

Reading about this place on other websites, my wife and I decided to check out Zorbas for their lunch buffet. The decor seems pretty ""typical"" of a Greek restaurant. They had lots of Greek paraphanelia, as well as Greek music playing in the background. My wife and I walked up to the buffet and were pleasantly surprised by the spread. We got there about 20 minutes after they opened, and everything looked fresh and wonderful. My wife is on a diet, so she went the vegetarian route, loading up on salads, hummous and other ""low fat"" cuisine. I opted to do the other side of the buffet, and loaded up on lamb, chicken, and pasta. The chicken was a bit on the bland side, and the pasta was alright. The start of the buffet had to be the gyro meat. It was excellent. We finished off the meal sampling a number of the Greek desserts they had. The rice pudding was a little less sweet that I'm used to, and had orange rinds which I wasn't a huge fan of, but the baklava was great. For the price, you get a great selection of Greek food that is well worth the trip. Check this place out if you're craving Greek. more
