Zama Massage on Northeast Broadway is a first-rate center for massage and related services and has a convenient and easy to use telephone or online reservation system. All of its massage therapists have excellent reputations and will not disappoint, but if you want a consistently excellent massage that will be tailored to your needs, ask for Kathryn (Kat) Stauffer. I can say without hesitation that in fifteen years of massage experience, Kat is the best massage therapist I have found. more

Best 60 minutes I've had in the last few months! 9/22/2010

Lisa will give you a wonderful massage - she has a gentle but firm touch, checks in regularly to make sure the pressure feels good, and knows her stuff when it comes to the craniosacral system. The space is very relaxing, the location is easy to get to, and you will NOT regret the time you spend with Lisa at Zama Massage. It's a bargain for how good you'll feel when you leave! more

Aradia Willow is my FAVORITE. And I get a lot of massages. 9/5/2010

I am a professional dancer and choreographer, and have endured several injuries, both on the job and off, in the last fifteen years. I have been to numerous therapists in over 20 countries, and I must say that Aradia is the massage therapist that I tend to compare everyone else to. I've been coming to her for well over a decade now, and it's impossible for me to find someone who can match her skill set and intuitive ability to fix up my various and changing issues. I've experienced lasting change and improvement from being worked on by her, and I highly recommend her, especially if you are looking to really heal and improve your body in addition to relaxing and balancing your nervous system. more

First time experience 8/31/2010

As a former LMT, I understand the importance of a good massage/therapist. I received a massage from Aradia Willow and experienced one of the best massages. Aradia has an innate ability to assess muscles and apply the appropriate pressure for the best results. I was lucky to have been paired with her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great massage therapist. more

Fantastic Massage 8/16/2010

Aradia Willow at Zama is incredible. I have serious arthritis in my neck and was taking daily prescription medication-since seeing Aradia I rarely need it, plus all the loud pops and cracking sounds are gone. Add to that a soothing, relaxing experience-AMAZING. more

Walking on air 5/15/2010

Lynn does a massage where she uses her feet to massage (ashiatsu) your back etc. but not like you would think (having your friend pop your back). It is a percise and exhilerating massage. It is a deep massage that will meet the expectations of even the biggest, toughest people. Look at their web page for more details but I can tell you that it is one of a kind and I highly recommend it. Pros: Great massages (ashiatsu) Cons: None! more

WOW-that was the best shiatsu type work ever! 4/19/2010

My massage with Lynn was the best I've had in my life. I needed some painful places worked out as well as a relaxing experience. Lynn checked in with me several times to see if the hotspot work was too much for me or not. I have had many over the years work on my back and neck and when you feel entirely better after leaving -and it lasts-that has been rare in my experience. I am so happy to have a new place to spoil out of town friends when they visit as well as be my new go to place for body work. more

Juniper was great 3/23/2010

Went in Monday for a Thai massage with Juniper and she flowed very well with her techniques. The environment was comfortable and welcoming. Will definitely return for follow up massages! Pros: Very relaxing Cons: None that I could see more

AWESOME SPOT!!! 3/22/2010

I have received many massages in my lifetime, some are good others not so much. Since I have been going to Zama Massage I have enjoyed a totally professional environment while receiving a great massage. My massage therapist is Juniper, she has been working through years of sore muscles and lack of exercise. For the last 2 years I have been trying to take better care of myself, massages every two weeks is definitely a great start. I would completely recommend Zama to anyone who needs a life saving massage. Pros: totally professional/great massage. Cons: nothing more

my first experience at zama but it was a good one. My massage was done by Aradia. She paid extra attention to my neck and the massage helped with my chronic headaches. I also like that she was not afraid to apply pressure where needed. I have been to spas where they either beat you up for an hour or use such light pressure it was like nothing at all. The spa is filled with candles and soft music, you cannot hear the street noise form broadway when you are inside. Very calm and quiet, tasefully decorated and everyone there was pleasant and helpful. I already booked my next apointment. The rates are quite reasonable for an hour. Pros: staff listens to clients, calm atmosphere, clean, private Cons: not really any more

So long allergies! 3/1/2010

Everything is in bloom and I was preparing for utter doom. Allergies came early this year & I really didn't want to succumb to Claritin, again. So, I made an appointment at Zama, with Katelyn Decker L.Ac. Katelyn was wonderful! I explained what my symptoms were (scratchy throat & itchy eyes), she read my pulses & went to town. The tiny tiny needles did not hurt at all. In fact, I felt completely relaxed, with a slight euphoric feeling. She sent me home with a bottle of commonly used (in the natural world) chinese herbs. The acupuncture was practically an instant remedy & the dose of herbs that she prescribed seem to be keeping the sniffles away, Hooray! I can go outside & ENJOY the beautiful cherry blossoms. Acupuncture by Katelynn 3/1/2010

Ive been recieving acupuncture as treatment for clinical anxiety and depression for around 7 years now. Katelynn was able to see me quickly after calling to schedule. She listened carefully to my troubles. Her combination of needling and herbs cured my insomnia and fixed my emotional meltdown. I had been seeing the same acupuncturist for years but because of Katelynns wonderful treatment I will go back to her for sure! Pros: Happy Point! Cons: none more

I had the worst back pain ever, probably from stress at work and too, too much computer! I saw Katelyn Decker, who performed acupuncture and cupping, and gave me special chinese herbs. Not only was I able to go back to work the next day, but I did so without requiring a single painkiller. Thanks! more

Couples massage class was delightful! 2/16/2010

February 13th 2010 was 5 wonderful years together with my husband and we decided to treat ourselves to the couples massage class at Zama. We showed up to Zama and were peacefully greeted with some snacks and wine! We sat together with a few other couples and learned about the body, and massaging techniques, and a routine we could prcatice on eachother. We then split off into our own private rooms to practice with the occasional help of the wonderful instructors. We really enjoyed our experience at Zama. The routine was simple, yet very clear. My husband picked it right up. YAY! And it really brought us closer. Thanks so much ladies for a great night! Pros: We learned great at home techniques! Cons: none! more

I love that I can schedule my appt. online. A great variety of therapists with excellent skills. I can now use my arm thanks to the wonderful massage work.
