Everytime I go to Zachary Scott Theater it's like a mini broadway! The place is old and small with a hometown flair, but the shows are top quality! The last time I went, I saw Stephen King's MISERY and I was blown away by the actors. I now take all out of town guests for a special event that they could only see in the much larger theaters. It's very affordable which makes it even better to get some culture in your life. Great for the whole family. more

Zachary Scott theatre center is like a taste of Broadway on Riverside Drive. This theatre performs between eight and 10 productions each year, including Christmas party. This oldest professional theatre presents a wide range of professional theatre productions from Dreamgirls and Little Shop of Horrors to The Flaming Idiots and Stephen King's Misery. more

I first came to the Zachary Scott Theater because we were required to attend at least 2 live performances for my Theater class at UT. Unfortunately, I had to go to this particular performance solo. When I came there was a small line to get in as this was the last day to see a film for my class and I observed about 50+ of my classmates to watch this film. Anyhow, the building itself looked a little older, but that's not what counts. I remember the seating was a little uncomfortable to sit through an entire play (which was why we had intermission twice I suspect). The acting was top notch and for this factor alone I would recommend anyone to check out this theater. Some of the best theater performances you'll see will be outside of broadway and ZCT is definitely an affordable alternative. They also have student discounts and season passes for those truly interested in seeing more than an occasional performance. more

This is a fantastic theater located just south of the lake on congress. Definately a place to go for a date or to just enjoy some quality entertainment. I went to watch a couple shows here and they were all excellent. Also the theater itself is great. It's nice and small so everybody has a clear view of the stage. Take a break from 6th street and come see a show more
