I first came to the Zachary Scott Theater because we were required to attend at least 2 live performances for my Theater class at UT. Unfortunately, I had to go to this particular performance solo. When I came there was a small line to get in as this was the last day to see a film for my class and I observed about 50+ of my classmates to watch this film. Anyhow, the building itself looked a little older, but that's not what counts. I remember the seating was a little uncomfortable to sit through an entire play (which was why we had intermission twice I suspect). The acting was top notch and for this factor alone I would recommend anyone to check out this theater. Some of the best theater performances you'll see will be outside of broadway and ZCT is definitely an affordable alternative. They also have student discounts and season passes for those truly interested in seeing more than an occasional performance.
