\r \r Every Z-Ultimate studio is a family and I love coming to work out with my family every week. I get a great workout here and a sense of confidence. The instructors are friendly as are all the other students. Sparring is done under the watchful eyes of multiple instructors and safety is always the first priority. You can opt out of any part of a lesson at any time if you don't feel comfortable. There is no pressure to do something you physically can't or feel uncomfortable doing. If there is ever an issue instructors are there to resolve the problem to benefit all parties involved.\r I love this studio and z-ultimate and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good time, a good workout, and a useful skill. more

I started at Z Ultimate two months ago as a complete beginner. I had never trained a martial art in my entire life, and hadn't been to a gym in months.\r \r Before attending class, I was very nervous and had no idea what to expect. But, the second I walked through the door, I was welcomed immediately. My nerves were gone, and replaced by readiness and excitement.\r \r Every one of the instructors here are incredible to work with, patient, and great teachers. The environment is very laid-back and non-judgmental. The space is clean and there is plenty of space to train during class without being crowded. I immediately got hooked and started coming three to four times a week.\r \r Ever since I have started, I have been trying to get all of my friends to try it out. It is such an important skill to learn. I would recommend Z Ultimate to anyone!! more

I can't even begin to tell how horrible of an experience we had here! They treated my children rudely, didn't teach them much at all, had the kids doing regular exercises most of class instead of training and learning karate, at one point my younger son was a bit distracted and they put him in the corner instead of asking what was wrong! Then they have the nerve to tell me my kids aren't focused so they can't help them. That's baloney! My kids are continually complimented on their good behavior and if they did have an off day shouldn't karate and the Sensei's help teach them to focus?! Then they had other kids hitting and running around constantly being rude and not listening but they didn't do anything about them. It took all I had not to go up to those children's parents and tell them if their kids hit my child again there would be big issues. My husband took them for their group session the last week we had signed up for and Z Ultimate defense Studio team refused to let my kids participate even though we had payed and were told multiple times that they could attend all group sessions every week they had a private lesson. They sent my kids home upset and crying. I called the studio as soon as I heard what had happened and one of the team whom we hadn't even dealt with told lie upon lie over the phone and kept changing his story. I asked him why in class they never taught the kids what to do, they just told them the next exercise and let them fend for themselves or try and learn from another child's poor form. They told me they only teach in private lessons and the kids didn't get teaching in group but had to figure it out on their own. I was amazed, it would take 30 seconds to show a proper form if a child needed help. I then told him my kids had had a month of private lessons but never learned it there either and so he just changed the subject. He also said my husband kept yelling at them all through class the previous week and it ruined class. At this point I was flabbergasted at their continual lies and excuses for poor service. I promptly told my husband exactly what they said so he dropped my kids off home to spare their feelings with what was happening and drove back over. When my husband confronted them with their lies they changed their story again and said, ""Oh, we meant you said something loudly once to a parent and we could hear you."". The fact that we hadn't ever dealt with this member but he didn't mind saying so many lies tells me the whole team gossips behind the parents backs. How else would he know some of the innocent basics & turn it so ugly? It wasn't just this guy either, it was the whole team that was rude and dishonest. I could keep going on with how horrible this place is, but please save your money and find a studio that will be respectful, honest, and actually teach your kids karate. I should have known when my kids were promised 5 1hr long personal sessions each but only got 4 combined 30 min sessions that it was all a lie. more
