What an amazing place. The best food ever! I would duplicate it at home if I could. Don't order off the menu just order the BBQ. It is all you can eat and damn good! If you don't like it you can only blame yourself because you pick your ingredients and sauce. Definitely recommend over and over again! more

This is an amazing place to eat at dinner time... I have reviewed a lot of restaurants in the Denver Metro Area. I am sold that this is one of the best healthy, fresh, and most delish places to enjoy a meal. All you can eat Mongolian BBQ is outstanding.. Can eat about 3 bowls that you prepare yourself and they stir fry it up for you.... Totally Yummy.. more

I've been going here most my life - 6/9/2012

I've been going here most my life - after all, restaurant has been here for 30 some odd years. The food is consistently great and service is good. The one thing I've noticed about the people who complain about this place is that they tend to see this restaurant as something foreign and undeserving of ""American"" respect. Yes there's a bit of a language barrier. But have some patience. The staff is friendly and always glad to serve you if you can communicate your problems respectfully. more

Extremely poor customer service. 2/11/2012

Extremely poor customer service. Called to ask if they accomodate gluten allergies. The woman asked if I frequent the restaurant and I responded ""yes"", however, I proceeded to ask her what gluten free items they offered and she said that they don't and didn't recognize my name. I asked her if we should go to Jade Garden and she said ""yes"". I immediately called Jade Garden and they were wonderful. Great customer service from Jade Garden. The food from Jade Garden was incredible. I learned that Yuan's will only have good customer service if they know you by name. If you are a new patron, don't try Yuan's. You won't get good customer service. more

Amazing! 12/17/2011

And certainly not closed. I was there Thursday. Pay attention to their hours. I have been eating here for 12 years. It's fabulous! I haven't eaten anywhere else for 12 years and I'm a picky eater. more

Dang it 12/10/2011

I went to this place yesterday and it looks like it's closed. The people that railed on it are on crack. It was awesome! I'm bummed that it's not there any more. Now I have to go downtown to BD's for exactly the same food at a higher price. more

Horrible, Horrible, both the food and service! 11/22/2011

This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. more

lousy 6/26/2011

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a pack of rats. I've eaten at wonderful places called Mongolian BBQ's that served three kinds of beef, shrimp, sausage, eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables- delectible sauces- with fun recipes to mix yourself. Every bit of their food fresh and delicious. Not this ridiculous and pathetic excuse for a restaurant. I don't think I've ever been to a place that has the gall to serve canned fruits and vegetables, frozen meat- with only four choices at that, beef (tough), lamb (that tasted so bad my daughter in law couldn't eat more than one bite), pork and chicken. Maybe seven choices for vegetables. We had a three year old and a finicky five year old with us. The waitress said we would have to pay half price- or six dollars for her bowl. The three year old wouldn't be charged if he ate off our plates. The little girl put maybe three tablespoons of noodles in her bowl and didn't want her brother to put in his few canned mushrooms and three slices of beef. So we just put those into a seperate bowl. When the waitress saw that, she rudely said she'd have to charge us for two kid's meals. What meals? There wasn't enough between the two to charge us for one. She wouldn't listen. You'll pay the six dollars each. Then she turns to my daughter in law who complained about the lamb and said, if she wanted to go back for a different kind of meat, other than lamb, she couldn't have a doggie bag. Believe me, this food was sooooooooo bad, I wouldn't bring it home to my dog. When the bill finally came, she had the nerve to have added a $13 tip for herself. It's in the menu- she snidely remarked, if you have more than five people in your group I get to add a tip. Wow!! So, this restaurant's policy is, if you have more than five people in a group, the waitresses can be as rude and lousy as they want to be, and it's okay- they'll still get a 15% tip. We spent close to $100 and the meal wasn't worth $10. If you want good Mongolian BBQ- I suggest going downtown Denver to BD's Mongolian BBQ. more

Wasteful, Mean, and dirty 3/21/2011

I took my family of six to eat here. It is a run down place with wait staff who argue with you, have no personality, and are just plain rude. The food was decent, but very expensive for what is pretty much old frozen low grade proteins. Having gone thru the rounds of trying to get all my children served, by the time I sat down they were all finishing their dinner. I asked if I could get a to go box and I was refused. They tried to charge me $5 for a doggie bag, and when i told them I just wanted to take my dinner home and would not pay another dime, they threw it away. The mean old lady who was the manager began yelling at us and followed my entire family to the parking lot. We will never go back to this place. The food is sub-par but the service is the worst I have seen in any place in Denver. I recommend you pass up on this rat hole. ITS A RIP OFF!! more

Very expensive for a family 1/2/2011

I had eaten here with a friend and decieded to bring my family to try it. We have 3 kids and I was shocked at the total of the bill. While I was aware of the prices, the server told me that for parties of 5 or more (thats right, FIVE) they added 15% gratuity! While the food and service was good, I was apalled that they would add on gratutiy to a family of five when we got our own food! My total bill was $74--not economical for my family, even if it is all-you-can-eat. We did not get anything extra, just the BBQ and soft drinks. I will not be able to take my family here again (unless we leave someone at home) more

Delicious!! 3/27/2010

This place is the best little mongolian grill in town. The food is always delicious, the staff is very fast and friendly and the atmosphere is fabulous. We've been to another mongolian grill in town and you can't even hear the people in your party talk it's so loud and the food is just average. Love, love love Yuan Palace Mongolian BBQ. Pros: Delicious food, fast and friendly wait staff more

Best Mongolian BBQ in Town! 6/8/2009

My family has been going to Yuan Palace for 15+ years. The wait staff is attentive and helpful. And even though we only go 3-4 times a year, the recognize us each time. The food on the buffet is fresh and always stocked. Good selection and different choices. The menu items are always excellent. I recommend the crab wontons. Enjoy this local tradtion! Pros: Fresh food on the buffet, excellent service Cons: Not a lot of room for large parties more

Very unhappy with barely edible food 4/22/2009

Some of the buffet trays were empty and not refilled, bean sprouts looked and tasted old and the food, both buffet and from the kitchen was bland and unappealing. Just tasted like slop. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was embarrassed as I brought in a party of four--it was my turn to 'Pick a place"". Pros: none sorry to say Cons: vegtables did not look fresh, and food very bland more

The Best Ever Mongolian BBQ 8/14/2008

This was the best ever Mongolian BBQ and my all time favorite restaurant. I have been going here for 9 years and the quality has never declined. I had to move out of state and I cannot find a Mongolian BBQ that can compare to this one! Pros: Fast Food, Friendly, Filling, Atmosphere Cons: Rarely Slow more

Great experience 8/10/2008

I was introduced to Yuan Palace years ago by my wife. The restaurant doesn't look like much, but the food is fantastic. We have been going to Yuan Palace for over 4 years now and have never had a bad meal. As compared to competitors like BD's, Yuan Palace has a fairly limited selection of ingredients. While this may seem restrictive, it reduces the chance of creating something horrible (which has happened more than once at BD's.) The ingredients at Yuan's Palace are always fresh and of good quality. The meats are not fatty and the vegetables are crisp. There is only one sauce, but you'll never want anything else. more

THE BEST EVER 4/26/2008

This is the BEST Mongolian BBQ I have ever had. If it was closer I would go every week!! Great selection of vegs and meats to put in your dish and lots of sauces to pour over it before it is cooked by the wok chef. WONDERFUL Pros: WONDERFUL Cons: Pretty far from home more

BEST mongolian barbeque AND full chinese menu. better than great. 12/9/2006

Great service, great food. Mongolian barbeque bar is the best. The best of all the denver area mongolian barbeques. This is my personal favorite. Serving 3 or 4 meats which sometimes includes lamb, sprouts, cabbage, onions, peppers, etc. all slivered and julienned and ready to pack into a bowl you build yourself according to your taste. Several sauces, oil of orange, garlic, ginger, and more. I can only remember my favorites. Check it out, a Dining Experience but one you will go back for again and again. They are open Mo-Fr for lunch and the barbeque is half price at lunch, around 7 bucks, the same meal at dinner time costs twice that. On Sat and Sun they are open at 4 for dinner only. Pros: Wonderful food, service, ambience, and the kids like it too. Cons: Can't think of any. Tucked in the shopette between Safeway and Grease Monkey. Look for the round red double doors. more

Good Mongolian BBQ 7/6/2006

I like the fact that you can pick your own ingrediants to go in your dish, you can add or detract anything on the menu you want. It is a fun place to go and the service really good. Pros: Good food, friendly service Cons: Kind of hard to find-back in a strip mall more

Great food, SUPER DRINKS! 8/14/2005

The food is great here, I have loved it for years. We just tried the drinks on our last visit and WOW! What a great punch, good taste, and low price to boot! more
