Yankee Lanes

Went to this place last night and was very rudely asked to have my bowling bag searched by some guy at the door. At first I thought he was joking and then showed him my ball/shoes in my bag and laughed. As I approached the front desk a bowler had asked the cashier why the lane wasn't working (it was 8:50pm) and the cashier rudely responded ""We don't turn on the lanes until 9, the special starts at 9"" and as the kid walked off the cashier mocked him by saying ""...he knows it doesn't start till 9""! What?! I thought Hitler was dead! Who operates this place?! They seriously can't turn a lane on 10 minutes early? ""OMG PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO BOWL 1 FRAME MORE THAN WE WANT TO ALLOW"". Total Nazis at this place! This night was a Monday 'Unlimited bowling from 9-12 for $7' which they fail to note on some signage that have a 4 people per lane minimum, making this a terrible deal if you're alone or with 1 or 2 other people. So much for going on a date with your woman unless you want to pay extra for 2 invisible people who aren't actually playing with you, or be paired up with 2 random people you don't know. I happened to be there with my girlfriend and brother and the idiot at the desk was like ""You can either pay for the 4th person or wait at the end of the line"" and continued to note that it was some sort of amazing deal. Hell NO it's not. Dover Bowl in Dover, NH has $1 game nights Monday - Thursday which annihilates Yankee Lanes so-called excellent deal. $7 for 'unlimited bowling' which is more like LIMITED bowling considering they require you to have 4 people per lane. What if you have no friends available on that night? or just want to bowl alone? You get turned away unless you're rich and have tons of $$$. I will never go back if I can help it and I'd encourage anyone else to NOT support Yankee Lanes. Avoid this place at all cost, no pun intended... Cons: Poor service, rudeness, overpriced... more

I used to love Yankee lanes, the staff was great they had this amazing friendly server, then this past Saturday (feb 7th) everything changed. There is this horrible new server who has the worst attitude about her job and she completely ruined my view of Yankee Lanes. After dropping 136.00 to take my staff for a night of bowling, I decided to get a round of shots for the workers. I tried to get the servers attention to come to lanes 7+8 and immediate response was that its going to be a while with a strong attitude. Eventually she made it over to our lane and I began asking her some questions of a good round of shots for my crew, she knew nothing and she eventually became irritated and said that I am now cut off. Thats it I got so angry when heard this that I immediately went to the management and demanded a refund which I received, then I got the hell out of their. I couldn't believe this bowling ally would give a large bill of revenue over a some ignorant server. Ridiculous as long as that server is working at yankee lanes I am never returning with my large work crew. Pros: none now all been ruined Cons: terrible new server ruin anyones night more
