The Decatur Wuxtry, serving the Emory community, is only inferior to the Athens location by comparison. This is still the place to go for Atlanta music and all sorts of esoterica. It's crowded, covered with handbills, packed, uncomfortable and absolutely beautiful in every way. Not kid-friendly. The staffers have the expected indie aura, but they've never once failed to show me courtesy in hunting down local stock. more

Worth the trip 7/18/2002

I have two fine independent record stores within a couple of blocks from me, but when I want a real kid-in-a-candy store shopping experience I always make the drive to Wuxtry. Whoever stocks this place has great taste (IMHO) and the used selection is incredible (if only it were easier to look throught the used CDs!). Plus, the staff is a little more down to earth than the competition. Pros: Selection, Staff Cons: Hard to browse used more
