This was my first Thai experience, so I was pretty apprehensive. I've been wanting to try Thai for a while and I chose this spot based on the reviews. The service and the food were both excellent! I absolutely recommend the seafood pad thai, as well as the chicken thai curry. The Thai house rolls were EXCELLENT appetizers as well. You won't regret this spot! more

Every time I come to Miami South Beach for vacation - there is always a MUST GO AND EAT PLACE !\r THAI HOUSE SOUTH BEACH has the best authentic Thai dishes. I travel a lot and there is no restaurant like this. Beautiful design, reasonabe prices, delicious food. more

I worked @ 12&Collins for 4 years, and this spot was always the treat of the week. Most of my friends worked/hung out at Uncle Sam's and the Pad Thai is still the best on the beach. Anytime someone mentions Thai or Sushi, the resonse is always "the spot next to Uncle Sams" Highly recommendable more

Excellant vegetarian food. We especially enjoyed the Papaya salad, Massaman Tofu, and Panang Tofu. The Tofu Cashew was so-so. more

from the curries to the salads to the desert , this place is almost too good to be true. Prices ( vegeterian dishes atleast ) are very reasonable. Best dish we love there is red curry tofu. tried their green curry tofu but had to send it back 'cuz it wasn't done right at all. Been there multiple times with diff sets of people and all commented positively... more

Thai House is Thai food to perfection! If you love the Thai spicy and bold flavors you can not leave south beach without dinning at Thai House! The volcano chicken is a must have!! Wonderful place to eat. more

Avoid. Period. 8/5/2007

I was really in the mood for Thai on South Beach (having never tried it here before) and flipped a coin: heads - Sushi Siam on Lincoln Road, tails - Thai House on Washington. Tails, I lost.\r \r Whoever wrote these reviews must lack taste buds. Though large portions true, the food was absolutely poor and the service mediocre. I would have forgiven the service if the food had been somewhat reasonable but frankly I couldn't find anything positive to say.\r \r Avoid at all costs - Miami has too many great restaurants if you're going to drop $100 for two. By the way, to add insult to injury, they charge $2 for a cup of rice that in any other Thai restaurant I've been to in another part of the U.S. comes with your $22 meal.\r \r I am not giving up, though, and will try Sushi Siam next week after I've forgotten about this meal.\r more

Great, fairly priced Thai 1/3/2007

My friend and I went here a few nights ago and were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food and ambiance of Thai house. The restaurant is very peaceful, with antique Buddhas placed throughout the room. The pad thai was excellent and our meal overall was quite inexpensive compared to the rest of what's in SoBe. The wine list is small but ridiculously cheap ($4 a glass!!) and the staff is very kind and polite. Pros: pad thai, ambience, servers, vegetarian options more

What a THAI! 3/21/2006

Where do I start? Hmm, maybe with the words that this is the BEST THAI food I have ever had. I am from New York City, where Thai restaurants are abundant (Pongsri, Spice, Sea and many more to name a few). None come close to the taste, service and portions that this place gives. I ordered the ""Smiling Fish"" and it has the most authenthic thai sauce taste. None of that instant stuff. Only word of caution, when the waitress asks level of spice from 1-4, 3 being medium....I suggest go for the 2. The price was a little high, about 19 to 23 for an entree but all Miami restaurants are like that. Pros: Taste, Service, Portions Cons: A little pricey more

""I said, Let's Talk Thai"" 7/11/2002

Ok, ok already.Ill admit, I used to travel to Kendall to Thai Orchid restaurant for years, that is until I discovered Thai House II on the beach..ahhhhhh.what a relief! No more long trips (unless Im in the area). Thai House is by far the absolute best Thai restaurant Ive ever been to in South Florida. The Pad Thai is amazing, the shrimp are large and the sauce is perfectly balanced (not too heavy), you can tell that they make it for you on the spot. The Thom Ga Kai soup is light and refreshing, not too much chicken and perfectly seasoned, so you can savor the ingredients individually, you know the coconut milk, the lemon grass, and oh its just absolutely fabulous. The decor is impeccable, talk about some serious Phen Shuey energy flowing here. You feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. Its magnificent. Youll go home happy. more
