If you are doing business with these people you should choose to go somewhere else. They will rip you off, slow pay you, lie to you, basically do anything to not pay. more

This doctor is only out for money!! i went in for a pap smear and was told she was only taking 1 test and i swore i saw her take two and she said she only took one test. The Receptionist called me and said my pap and chlymadia came back ok.So the doctor lied to my face about taking only 1 test...Also I am a 30 year old completely healthy person and was told to come twice a year for a visit. No other gyno suggessts that escpecially for someone so healthy. She took my blood test and said my cholestrol was to high at 181, which is normal under 200. I took the test in 2008 and it was 179 and she said i should come back in 3 months to get tested for my choloestrol since it went up 2 points in two years. I was like no way, this doctor is only out for money. she is very rude also. She asked me if I was seeing someone and if I was sleepng with them.. I told her there are other things people can do on dates, You know!\r I don't know who is writing these good reviews on her, probably her or she hired someone to do so is my guess. \r more

i moved to hoffman estates from Ohio and was searching for a femaile obgyn. I had BCBS PPO at the time of appointment. I was made to wait for more than 45 minutes. The office manager did not know how to control the patients in the waiting room since there were ultrasounds going on also. When asked what was the dealy because doctor was on hospital rounds. I controlled my temper. After i was roomed I was waiting there for another 15 mintues, when the doctor came in she was in ahurry, not attentive to my problems. just read my previous records and asked me to schedule an ultrasound and then surgery. I was shocked i only went there for a pap and i was told to go for a surgery. \r \r I lefvt and went to another doctor for 2nd opinion, the doctor told me that the surgery was not necessary at all. Probably Dr sheri merchant wanted to make big time money by cutting me up. i have told all my friends about this and caution everyone who goes to see her to be careful and not fall for her dishonest ways, Better still go to another doctor Pros: only wnats your money Cons: long waiting time, office manager did not know what she was more

My experience with dr. Merchant was excellent. She is a\r very compassionate , caring doctor, who takes pride in her work. She really listened to my concerns and then came up with a proper diagnosis. The procedure was done well and I feel so much better!\r I felt I was really being taken care of as a person not just the next patient.\r Her staff is also very friendly and helpful. I was being treated by my pediatrician who referred me to Dr. Merchant for my gynecological problems. I was having severe gastroenteristis, Dr. Merchant seeing my condition, advised me to undergo a gastro-endoscopy which successfully got rid of my pain and anxiety.\r \r After my surgery, Dr. Merchant kept following up with me over the phone and via email. During my follow-up exam, I took the Dr and staff flowers and candy as a thank you gift for treating me with such kindness and dignity. They made me feel special in the care they provided and regularly send me updates, reminders and their calendars which is such a good and conscientious gesture on their part.\r more

I moved from Florida about 2 years back and wanted a good and reputable OB/GYN, my friends highly recommended Dr. Merchant and her associates and I thank them for doing so even today. \r \r My first visit was excellent, the frontdesk staff were so efficient and knowledgeable, they really treated me as a person not as a patient with a number. Dr. Merchant was so friendly and informative and put me at ease. See I had heavy bleeding and menstrual cramps and had been treated for endometrioses but did not find any improvement. Dr. Merchant was very patient and listened and answered all my concerns in a very professional manner. She suggested a biopsy at my next appointment at the office.\r \r Before my biopsy, I had a number of lab tests done and during the visit the medical assistant assured me that all would be well since I was in very good hands with Dr. Merchant. At the time of my biopsy, I was very nervous but Dr. Merchant was very gentle and kind and explained the procedure and its aftermath to me. I can gratefully say that I have never encountered such a wonderful doctor who treats her patients with dignity and compassion. I for one will always be a faithful patient of Dr. Merchant?s and urge everyone out there to come and experience this wonderful care.\r more

I was expecting my first kid in the USA and was very nervous, since I did not have any family here. I was searching for an OB doctor in the phone book and came upon Dr. Merchant?s advertisement. I called corporate office and the staff there made an appointment for me the very next day, I was really shocked that I could get in so expeditiously, the other offices were rude and told me that the doctor could not see me for the next 5 weeks.\r \r The receptionist who made the appointment was very patient and informative and gave me excellent directions to the medical office. Me and my husband felt so nice on entering the office, the staff were so friendly and sweet and we felt so warm and welcome. While waiting in the waiting area, we were given a welcome baby bag and a book on pregnancy for our ready reference. On meeting Dr. Merchant for the first time, I was amazed at this doctor?s ability and professionalism at interacting with a new patient in such a friendly and compassionate manner. She was very understanding and cleared up all our doubts and fears. I was so happy to have met such a good doctor that my husband and I kept praising the practice to all our friends.\r \r Its been 5 years now and with my second baby on the way, there would be no other doctor but Dr. Merchant for me and my family. I have referred about 9-10 friends who in turn have thanked me. Dr. Merchant is a great doctor and I wish that there were more doctors like her.\r more
