On first approach the facility may seem sparse. However, while the main building is often slow, this facility houses an enormous amount of landscape plants and greens (some of which are native to Michigan), trails, paths and wildlife all around. At different times of year you will find classes and events geared to specific ages or even to the whole family. In Autumn thy host campfires with marshmallow roasts and moonlight nature walks. In the Spring you can visit and watch them tap the trees and learn how maple syrup is made. It is a beautiful place to walk and explore with many educational and plain old fashioned fun opportunities available. Scouts can also make use of special programs at the center to earn badges. We love it here!
