Goodyear-Reston Tire & Automtv is OK 6/15/2009

Brought and left my car for inspection on June 10 2009 at 7:30 AM and got it back at 5:30 PM. Long wait. Service is fine but only did 1 inspection instead of both. I had to go back for another inspection. I brought both inspection coupons. They "accused" me for NOT telling them that I need both inspections done. more

Very honest 1/1/2009

Being a single woman, it's good to find a place that I trust. When I had to get a tire patched which was original to my 5-year-old car, they didn't try to sell me new tires, but fixed it and told me that the tires still have some mileage left. I've had my brakes done, inspections, and the thermostat replaced. A few months after the thermostat had been installed, the "check engine light" came on. It turned out that the thermostat was bad and it was replaced at no charge and without any hassle. If you work or live nearly, there is also a free shuttle service that will take you to or from the garage. more

Finally a reputable auto repair shop that doesn't jip ya! 9/16/2006

I can't say enough about the folks at Reston Automotive. They are some of the friendliest, most down-to-earth, and honest folks in the neighborhood and they know cars!!! I've had several interactions with these people, from oil changes, to punctured tire patching, to replacing my tires all together, and then some. They are always quick to get things done, they are honest about what you need done, and don't try to sell you the world of services you don't need. They are reasonably priced, pleasant (unless Butch is having a bad day, then he can be somewhat gruff), and overall just excellent at customer service. I won't take my car elsewhere unless they suggest I do so.... PROS: Friendly, honest, affordable, not pushy, shuttle CONS: none. more

unusually honest 9/15/2006

if you want a honest opinion on what's wrong with your vehicle, you gotta visit these guys. when it comes to price, they are not cheap and always quote the same as a dealer, but you would get a better service for the same price with the guys at this shop. PROS: honest service CONS: more

Years of Good Service 8/7/2006

I have been taking my cars to Reston Automotive for about 10 years. They have never failed me, and have provided quality service on 4 different vehicles (Volkswagen, Pontiac, and 2 Hondas). \r \r They offer courtesy shuttle service when cars have to be left overnight, and they always deliver completed work when they say they will. \r \r Recently, I took my car in because it was making a lot of noise, and they told me one thing they could fix was a switch on my A/C. However, the work was expensive and they advised me that, were it their own car, they probably would not spend the money for the repair -- it was too pricey and the A/C would work fine without it. I took their advice and saved hundreds of dollars -- not something I have seen from other car mechanics. Reston Automotive Gets The Job Done 6/7/2005

Finding a good auto shop can be extremely difficult. Many are just out to scam the public. Thats why Im so glad I came across Reston Automotive. My car started to have problems and I decided to give them a try. Upon first arrival, I could tell they had a very strong business due to the high amount of vehicles already parked in their lot. Fortunately, I was able to find a space in the back. Their service area is very simple in design; a few chairs, some magazines, and a coffee machine. But, of course, the dcor isnt really important. Youre there to get your car fixed. The service is what impressed me. I was treated like a V.I.P. The staff answered all my questions in a courteous manner and even provided me with a ride home (since my vehicle needed to stay overnight). The next day they provided me with a reasonable price for repairs, I green-lighted the work, and that afternoon my car was ready to go.
