We tried the Douglasville Williamson Bros. BBQ for lunch and what a disappointment. Usually when you enter a BBQ joint the first thing you smell is a smokey aroma wafting throughout. There was nothing to let us know we were about to enjoy good BBQ. Not surprising, the chopped chicken special I had, although juicy had no taste of smoke whatsoever. The sauce it was doused with was only sweet without any of the layers of flavor a good BBQ sauce has. The sides didn?t fare any better?the mac and cheese, while extremely cheesy, had an overwhelming note of the fake butter taste of margarine; definitely not pleasant. The pinto beans were flavored with nothing resembling any seasoning, not even some BBQ trimmings as many BBQ joints do. The last side, the coleslaw, made of cabbage only, was chopped fine enough to be used as baby food and lacked anything but overriding sweetness.
Pros: None, drive right on by...
Cons: No smoke flavor, bland sides
