I hate to give a bad review. But William Crow deserves one. 1/31/2011

I hate to give a bad review, but I've waited long enough, through about 5 times of me stating that this is the last straw--this is the last straw. My (now) husband went to William Crowe to design my engagement ring. The ring, thanks to my husband's great taste, turned out beautiful and unique--an inset diamond with 2 little (non-precious, just sentimental) stones, one on either side. However our experience post-engagement left much to be desired. First, we picked out a wedding band for my husband, and ordered a smaller version of the same band for myself. When I picked up the rings, (2 weeks pre-wedding), they gave me the ring that my husband ordered, and for me a plain stock gold wedding band without the detail that we ordered. When I mentioned to the jeweler that this wasn't what I ordered, he basically shrugged, asked when the wedding was, and basically told me "tough luck" because of timing. I left, shocked, and my husband called to straighten things out. They did, after coaxing, rush my wedding band order so that I could have it for my wedding, however not without giving us a lot of stress (and why would we need to convince a jeweler to make something right!?) more

Great Jewelry Store 3/12/2010

I've been visiting William Crow Jewelry for many years now. It's wonderful to walk in and be greeted warmly by the same people year after year! They're very knowledgeable, very helpful and have an outstanding selection of jewelery. I've had them repair pieces for me and I've bought both new and estate pieces from them. This is a lovely establishment on the 16th Street Mall downtown. I highly recommend this jewelry store. more

Excellent repairs 12/17/2008

I took my engagement set and another ring into William Crow for a repair of several broken prongs. They rebuilt the entire crown, plus cleaned all 3 rings. I was amazed - they all looked like new. The work was done quickly (less than a week) and the price was reasonable for all the work they did. The lady who helped me was very nice. I'll definitely use them again when I need a good jeweler. more

Extremely great service 6/18/2008

I am a nervous jewelry shopper. I don't tend to have a lot ot trust in most places from years of hearing horror stories. I needed to have a ring appraised, and took it to William Crow. They were able to accommodate me while I was there and were very reassuring, kind, and trustworthy. They were fair in their assessment of the ring and explained the various components they considered. They also provided me with two documents--one to provide and one keep for my own records. The person I worked with there was Mike. Thank you for providing me with wonderful service. I would definitely consider shopping here if I needed to in the future. Pros: Excellent service Cons: none more

Best Jeweler in Town! 4/9/2007

Having moved from Chicago I was knowledgeable that some of the best jewelers in big cities are normally tucked away in high-rises downtown. They?re known only by word of mouth and their business thrives in secret. Well, I?m going to share with you this secret ? this is the BEST place in town to shop for jewelry! They have a very knowledge staff and friendly staff that treats everyone who walks through their door fairly. I?ve never received service from a jeweler like I?ve received here! Pros: Personal Service, Knowledgeable Staff and Fair Prices. Cons: None! more

    In 1924, a young man from Haxtun, a small Colorado farming community, moved to Denver Co. and opened a small jewelry store. He specialized in jewelry and watch repair and in a few years; he had four full time watchmakers, servicing pocket watches for the railroad. The small jewelry store carried everything from suitcases to mixers as well as fine jewelry and diamonds. Over the years, William Crow Jewelers has continued to grow into a very fine jewelry store. William Crow turned his store over to Lawrence Kaiser, who had managed the store for years and later, Mr. Kaiser sold the store to Jon Kaiser, his son, who owns and runs the jewelry store today.


    William Crow has over 86 years of continuous operation where they carry a large selection of loose diamonds, gemstones, gold, pearls, watches, lots and lots of engagement rings and fine jewelry. Custom ring and jewelry design is a specialty. Waxes are hand carved or created by computer cad-cams and one of a kind designs are turned out almost daily.


    William Crow is one of the few remaining jewelry stores to offer in-house jewelry and watch repair. They work on all jewelry and fine watches, everything from repairing a simple gold chain to restoring your grandmother's heirloom treasures, and they repair and overhaul Rolex watches, Patek Philippes, and better quality watches.


    The Estate department has become an important part of William Crow. Items of jewelry and fine watches can be purchased at up to 70% off their original retail prices and you can bring in fine jewelry and watches to be put on consignment where you would receive a very high percentage of the selling price.


    Located on the third floor of the University Building in downtown Denver, Co., William Crow Jewelry has been a mainstay for four generations and plans to continue their tradition for years to come.
