When visiting family in the East Village, I look forward to my trips to this long-standing eatery. The blueberry scones are a favorite and are simply delicious. The soups and juices are also quite tasty. An extensive menu with daily specials is available, and the prices are very reasonable. The personable staff will make certain you are well-served. The bakery remains an integral part of my NYC experience. more

A real gem for vegans and raw foodies 12/31/2006

Every time I'm in the East Village, I have to stop by this bakery for SOMETHING! I can't resist. Everything I've tried has been good--I'm a big fan of their version of rice krispie treats. The counter staff is always friendly. The prices are reasonable (compared to other vegan/raw places in town), and you just get the feeling that they're really trying to get it right/deliver the most health-conscience items. I highly recommend you try it. One tip: they sell pizza, but they only have a few stools for eat-in, so this is definitely a take-out place. Oh, and try the soups! Yum!
