Famous pizza DIRTY!!!!! 5/17/2011

So; I took my daughter to get a slice of pizza at Famous Pizza in Westwood; Aside from the slice of pizza that tasted like it had been sitting out from the day before..... the pizza was ok at best (that is if you like the taste of left overs) My steak and cheese tasted like they pured salt over it to disguise the taste of the steak.... Not a place I would recommend to anyone!!!! Aside form the bad food; apparently they like to sweep the floor next to you while youre eating.... As I watched the dust and dirt kick up from the floor and in my food (the employee mutters oops sorry) but yet still continued to sweep not even a foot away- At which point I packed up my daughter since asthma is an issue and left- If youre hungry and want something quick, you'd be better off going to eat at a gas station- more

The Best 2/27/2008

Famous Pizza recently changed ownership, and is now called Westwood Pizza. What did not change, apparently, were the ovens and the recipes. This is simply the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I've been living in New York for 3 years, and supposedly eating the ""best pizza on the planet"". It does not measure up to Famous/Westwood Pizza. The large plain pie has just the right amount of cheese, which is lightly salted and perfectly melted (brown in spots, but not burnt). The sauce is good, but not overstated. The crust: delectable. Maybe the best part. Add in some reasonably priced soft drinks, a garlic knot or two, and a friendly smile from the loyal staff, and you've got a great pizza dinner. Excellent Value 7/7/2002

Westwood Famous Pizza is a small local pizza/sub joint that is well frequented by local patrons. The pizzas are all very good, with thin, crispy crust and fresh toppings. The sandwiches vary from great to so-so depending on topping and kind (hot/cold). The steak subs are good if a little greasy. The greek salad and specialities are unique and delicious.
