Unfortunately, we spent quite a bit of money with these guys. They sold us a Double Din Kenwood Touch Screen Head unit for $935 plus $150 for installation. I found out later that was a huge mark-up when I could have bought it for $600. Sadly, at the time we weren't much experienced with audio equipment and the other places to purchase from. We later purchased a RE amplifier from Audio Lab. After it was hooked up correctly, I could hear this whining noise coming from the speakers that I was told was coming from my alternator. I took it back to West Coast Audio Sound to get a diagnosis of the problem since they installed the Head Unit. After they looked at it, they told me my whole car needed to be re-wired for $250 and that whoever hooked it up did a terrible job. I proceeded to tell them that they were the ones who installed it and offered proof. Disgusted at this point, I went to Audio Lab in Lake Forrest and after a $40 dollar diagnosis, they told me that the outputs on the back of my $900 head unit that I purchased from West Coast Auto Sound were faulty and had to of come that way or broken at the time of installation by them. I now have to buy another Head Unit. I highly suggest that you check out another Audio shop and not give these guys your business. The owner is very rude and does not stand behind his work. I have since then talked to many people who have used them and were also unhappy with their work. I would not be surprised if the positive remarks on here are put on here by them. Just google their name and you will see. more

I come from the Philippines and travelled to legoland with my family for vacation and with the intention of upgrading my car audio since I heard that there are a lot of audio dealers in the area. I surfed the net and came up with the WEST COAST MISSION VIEJO... I first talked to Jose and we it if off right away. He gave me a good price for an alpine HU CDA 9887 and asked me to stop by to see their shop. I arrived at their shop on a sunday and they opened up exactly as they advertised not like other shops. I was introduced to louie and much talk I ended up buying and ALPINE MRP F300 and ALPINE 600C component speakers together with my HU. Louie even gave me a crash course on the IMPRINT technology of alpine. After heading back to san francisco after legoland, i opened up the boxes and found the the remote control 4202 for the HU was missing. I immediately called louie up and said he will send it to me right away. I said that I would be going back home to the philippines , he even send it thru UPS and AT NO COST!!! I GOT IT WITHIN 2 DAYS.. What about that?? : ) After reading those negative feedbacks this place, I think we should give them another chance... Again, thanks and keep it up!!! : ) more

I took my car here to upgrade the stereo system in my car. They said all I needed was an amp. After they installed the amp the bass in my car never worked. I took it back to them to fix it and they still couldn't get it work. They are cheap, but I had to pay someone else to fix what they couldn't do. more

They also did a clean job and wait time was excellent. I highly reccomend their shop to everyone and don't forget to ask for Louie. more

When I first went in there it just felt sleezy...fast talking guys making a lot of promises. I should have known. \r I also notice some return customers coming in with complaints. \r I had to go back a couple times to get the system working, the middle eastern man behind the counter... very, very rude.\r My system is still not working but I'm going to pay someone else to make it work right.\r There are lots of stereo installers...try another. more

i was local and came across pacificstereo and was browsing around the website and found a car stereo i liked and i called a representitive named chris and he set me up a appointment to get this stereo put in my car. he was very helpful and the prices were perfect. i never knew i could get a stereo installed in my car for 150 dollars....thanks chris more

I have had a stereo, hands frees phone, speakers, and xm radio installed on different occasions. Each time I came in they installed it on the same day even without an appointment. They gave me an unbelievable price on speakers (great quality!) They are the only people I trust to install anything in my car. They know what they are doing over there! One time my hands free device malfunctioned due to a manufacturer defect(known problem for this device, so factory shipped me a new one). Even though it was not West Coast's fault, they charged me nothing to install the new one. They back up their work even when it is not their fault! I have been going to them for years and I will never go anywhere else! Pros: trustworthy, professional, back up their work, affordable more

I went and got my XM, Sub, Amp installed. They were very helpful with the questions I asked. They did a great job setting up my system. They helped me find a custom box the way I wanted it. They also helped me with my XM when it went out and fixed it. The pricing was great, I went to three different audio stores and West Coast Auto Sound was had the most reasonable prices. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a great audio system. Pros: Price, Service, Honesty more

I would have to agree with bustap949 100% This place is more of a pawn shop than anything. If you know what your looking for buy from here but dont let them install anything they'll do a very poor job and the damages will be more than the install and speakers all together Pros: location Cons: service, price, honesty more

When I started looking for a system I looked at a whole bunch of places like best buy and circuit city and I thought I found a good deal until I went to west coast. when I went to west coast and was talking Louie I told him what I was going to buy and he just laughed and told me to come and look at the stuff he could get me for a way better price. he got me way better stuff than I was going to get at another place. I have never had a problem with my system, and it still sounds just as good as it did the day that i got it installed. I am planing on buying a new truck soon and I wont take it any were but west coast for my system. Pros: Great system more
