Watson Moving and Storage

If you dont mind them breaking your furniture and never getting back to you about reimbursement. i used them for my local move, about 3 yrs ago, they broke the legs on the china cabinet, and breakfast table top. Followed up several times never got back to me. maybe things have gotten better. more

I use grad student movers for small moves. Google them. They're only $60 per hour, but they only do smaller jobs. For big jobs I have used these guys for awhile and they have done a good job. more

Watson Moving & Storage was absolutely wonderful. They were fantastic in Houston and up here. Our son found them online after checking out a bunch of companies. He thought Watson looked like a good company. We called, and a gentlemen came out to look through everything and give an idea of what it was going to cost. They went to my daughter's home, where we had our stuff, and brought what we needed up to us. I have a long narrow driveway, and they put the monster van into our driveway. How they did that I will never know; I was shocked. They were great. When they were unloading they were cordial and happy. They were fun people. The boxes were numbered by certain rooms, so that I could direct them where to put everything. It was very, very smooth. I wish all movers were that way. We have had bad experiences moving. The last 3 moves we have had things were just wrecked. It was bad. I was really pleased to have Watson Moving & Storage move our things. more

We moved twice with Watson Moving & Storage. The fist time we moved to a town house, and I specifically requested a straight truck. They showed up with the wrong truck. 4 or 5 hours later we finally got it straightened out, so the move took twice as long as it should have. It didn't get done in one day. The first day there were 4 guys, but the second day there were only 2. It took a long time, and we had difficulty communicating with one of the movers. We found some damage later, not big stuff, but some broken things and some damage. It is more of a hassle filing a claim than it is worth. On the next move we used them again against my own good judgement. They showed up late with 3 movers. It took forever, and they stopped for lunch for about 2 and half hours. We got to the new place, which was a new house, and they parked the truck on our front grass. They totally destroyed the front grass. I called to complain about it, but they never made an attempt to fix it. Because the house is new I specifically asked the guys to be careful, and I put down paper throughout the house. They did a really poor job overall. The dispatcher girl on the phone, Wendy, was pretty friendly, and very nice. When we had the truck issue I got a call from the owner and he apologized. So the office is actually great, but the help is not so good. more

It was really easy using Watson Moving & Storage. I have used them twice, and both times it was really easy. They worked with me on appointments, and made sure they were there on time. All of the workers were very friendly. Watson Moving & Storage is very dependable. They made sure that everything I needed to be taken care of was taken care of. They were flexible, and came on time when I needed them, which included a Sunday. It is nice that they are willing to work weekends. I have already recommended them to 2 people. more

I had to cancel my reservation with another company because I couldn't reach them a few days before my move. I called Watson Moving & Storage on Friday and they moved me in on Monday. It was perfect. They were fast and polite. It was nice working with them. The service was prompt and efficient. I would recommend them highly. more

I used Watson Moving & Storage for a move from Houston to LA. Because I was not in a hurry it took some time to get there, but we had talked about that. I had to wait for the right truck. The guys that packed the things were very nice and my things were very well packed. When they arrived in LA they unpacked quickly, and the driver was very nice. They called to let me know that they were coming. Whenever I had to email to ask him about something the owner was fast to respond. In general my experience was very good, and usually my experiences with moving companies are bad. Compared to other companies Watson Moving & Storage was the best, and the whole thing went smoothly. more

Very happy with Watsons! In one day they moved furniture from two of my homes into one. I was worried about damage to my baby grand piano and curio cabinets however, I was at ease when I saw how careful they were and how they wrapped them in soft blankets. The guys were great and friendly; really hard workers. Watsons pricing was the best in the Houston area! Thank You Watsons for making a stressful day into a pleasant one. Watson Moving & Storage moved my very heavy bedroom furniture this weekend. The movers were friendly and courteous. They handled the furniture well, it was all well padded on the truck and was installed in the new house without a scratch. Would recommend and use them again if I needed a mover. The price was great and they do not charge by the hour like some movers do. more

We used Watson Moving & Storage to move into our new home. I did some research beforehand and read a bunch of good reviews about them online, which was why we chose them. I was very happy with their service. They were very professional, showed up on time, and did an excellent job. They packed everything at our old home and, when we had a problem with the paperwork for our new home, they were very patient. Watson Moving & Storage ended up having to take everything to storage for us instead of to the new home. The next day, when we found out we could move in, they made arrangements to do the move even though it was last-minute notice. This was my first time moving and, from what I have read, there are some companies out there that people have had bad experiences with. Watson Moving & Storage, however, is as good as advertised in their reviews. They went out of their way for us. There are at the top of my list and my wife's list of moving companies we recommend. more

I Googled moving companies in Houston, which is how I found Watson Moving & Storage. I purposefully chose them for 3 reasons: 1) the length of time they had been in business; 2) the customer reviews they had online; and 3) the fact that they do not have an hourly rate, like other moving companies. Watson Moving & Storage was very helpful and really nice. The woman I emailed with helped me get an estimate on how much the move would cost. They also came out to the apartment to do a box count and give us a more accurate estimate. They had to move us out of a really big 2-bedroom apartment and down 3 flights. At the beginning, we had 5 guys moving us and then 3 went on to another move while 2 remained to finish the job. They were fast, efficient, and had good attitudes. When one of the movers broke a glass picture frame, he came and told us right away. They were very remorseful. We really appreciated the way that they handled the situation. At the new location, they moved everything where we wanted it to be. They also broke down the boxes, laying them on the floor before they brought in the dollies, so none of the floors got scuffed. We would definitely recommend Watson Moving & Storage. They are good people to work with. more

I chose Watson Moving & Storage after reading good reviews about them online. They were pleanant and professional. They answered all of our questions. I am a very satisfied customer and I have no complaints. We were pressed for time because we had somebody coming to do an instillation. We could be no later than a certain time, and we were able to make it. Reliability is a very important factor when moving. When you have many things scheduled and movers do not show up, it messes up your plans. You can rely on Watson Moving & Storage. Overall, Watson Moving & Storage had a very professional approach and their price was competitive. more

I have used many moving companies and Watson Moving & Storage is by far the best. They were very professional, courteous movers. They never threw anything around the way movers sometimes do. They wrapped all of the furniture with blankets and tape. They took their time to load the truck carefully. There were no scratches or dings. They were professional. The team was courteous, quick, thorough, and willing to go above and beyond (they helped me dismantle and pack up my christmas tree, for example). My only complaint is that they showed up about 45 minutes late. But they more than made up for it. Mine was a small move so that's all I can speak to, but for anyone with a small move, I would definitely recommend Watson Moving and Storage. more

This was my first experience with Watson Moving & Storage and their service was excellent. It had rained prior to the moving date, so they actually arrived later than when they said they were going to be there because of weather conditions. The delay threw me off but it was not their fault...once they arrived, they did a great job. The move itself went well. There was no damage to any of the furniture and they did not track any mud into the house, which I appreciated. I would recommend Watson Moving & Storage because they are good at what they do. more
