I have never been in a tattoo shop where the employees were so kind and genuinely cared about my experience with them. I got my first tattoo with them and have gone back 5 times since and have had the same amazing customer service and awesome artistic talent put into my tattoo each time. I cant rave enough about the quality of work thats coming outta Raleigh s best tattoo shop... Thanks Ernie and Mike... you rock. and thanks to the girls in the front for being so sweet and fun more

Awesome 11/15/2011

I went in last Friday to get a tattoo i already had fixed. They had great customer service and wer very nice!!! I was in there no time before they got my paper work done and had me in the chair working on my tattoo. It was my first time going there and i definitely plan on going back for all my work in the future. Byron fixed my tattoo and he was very good! I love the way my tattoo turned out this time!!! I will definitely be recommending Warlock's to all my friends!!! more

Top notch tattoos 6/2/2011

Went in on Sunday of memorial weekend. Showed Ernie my design. He gave me some options and information on how to make it work. He gave me a great price and only took an hour. For this design I was expecting at least 2 hours and twice the price, it was a celtic hound with the tail forming an intricate celtic knot and some gaelic writing. The work was perfect and looks great. This place was professional at least as professional as you get in a tattoo shop. The people were nice and everything went smoothly. I was in and out in an 1.5 hours with the paperwork, payment and tattoo. Ernie did a great job, I can't comment on any of the other tattoo artists but I recommend Ernie to anyone. more

Don't get caught up in the hype 5/13/2011

Went to get my second tattoo here like 8 months ago. Came in with a friend when it was slow. The person who greeted us was a little obnoxious (but really what can you expect in a tat shop). However, she was rude and talked down to us (maybe she was just having a bad day- but this wasn't my first time in a tattoo shop). The owner was nice and the person we talked with about designs was knowledgeable. Made an appointment to come back expecting for the same person to do the actual tattoo... that's a joke. Apparently at the time they were having some people leave or something or getting new people (not sure which) but either way none of them were particularly nice. Yes I get that i'm not your typical person (i'm a little more classic on the outside) but with 9 different piercings and a large piece on my back it was irritating to be talked to like I didn't belong there. The guy who ended up doing my tattoo kept wanting to take breaks (wasn't very friendly either- and him answering his phone while doing my tattoo had me wanting to smack him and leave!) and he also didn't put in the final white to finish the tat. It's a good piece and the price was on the steeper side but not too bad. However, only go here if you want to be treated like you don't know anything about tattoos or what you want and what looks good. I'm giving them 2 stars because maybe I just came at a transitional time, but honestly I won't be going back or ever refer anyone to them. Getting a tattoo is pretty permanent and it'd would have been nice if they hadn't treated me like a prep school dumb blonde. Thanks for the decent tattoo Warlock's but I won't be back because your service sucks. more

Extremely Happy 2/16/2010

I recently went in for a touch up on a tattoo that i got a year ago from No Regrets in raliegh. No Regrets did a horrible job and over charged me. went into Warlocks and immediately was talking to the owner. He was extremely nice and helped me right away. I was there for maybe 10 min before he had me in the chair getting tattooed. The touch up looks absolutely amazing. I went from just liking my tattoo to absolutely loving it. If you want a place that has great customer service and friendly good tattoists go here! Id definitly recommend Byron and will be going there for my future tattoos! Pros: Helped right away, great customer satisfaction, good prices Cons: none. more

Fabulous! 6/24/2009

Warlocks is the best shop in the Triangle. Definately not your typical flash shop. Not only do they have excellent tattoo artists & piercers they are friendly & clean. Never have had a poor experience. I love that they are open 7 days a week for piercings & tattoos! I have had 9 large tattoos there & many piercings. I have no doubt that they will keep up the good work. Pros: Cleanliness...friendly staff...lots of flash & knowledgeable more

VERY BAD customer service from Owner 6/19/2009

Called about a tattoo. Not my first. I made an appointment to see Byron the owner. I thought I would be talking with Byron when I got there. I was introduced to him and he didn't even acknowledge me and push me off to some person who look like they just got out of prison. I talked with this person for 5 minutes and I could tell they knew very little about tattooing. I showed them my drawing and they said it would be difficult. It was a simple dragon armband. Well, they said they would look at it and draw it up and call me the next day. Well, that didn't happen, just as I told my son, that was with me, that they wouldn't call when we left the shop that night. You could tell they didn't give a hoot about me. It was 6PM at night and the shop was pretty empty. So where were all the tattoo artist shown on their web site. Please do yourself a favor and go to another shop. Their are a few real good ones in Raleigh but not this one. I did get my armband from a great guy near State and it looks wonderful and I was very glad I went there. Please stay out on this place if you know what's good for you. Pros: The anwsered the phone Cons: Worst customer service I've every seen. more

Great Place .....ask for Errol 4/14/2009

I have had three tats done there...loved each one, but tried to have one removed, well the laser treatment scarred me real bad. I hated for people to see my arm/shoulder. I went and talked to Byron he said that they could cover it....he drew up a butterfly and some astract flowers. I went back checked it out and loved it. Went back a week later and Errol did the outline and some shadowing (due to scar tissue I had to do the outline then go back for color once healed). Errol did an AWESOME job! At first I was not comfortable but he and Byron quickly fixed that. I think it was my vervousness because I really wanted something that would hide the ugly site on my arm/shoulder. Pros: Clean, affordable, nice more

Professional/Efficient/Fun 4/10/2009

This was my second tattoo and it was on my butt cheeks. I'm a woman and Bobby was very professional and got my tat just right.Staff was pleasant and friendly. I'll go back for another! more

Stop searching, Warlock's is the place to go. 4/8/2009

Stop your search! Warlock's is the place you need to get your first or next tattoo. I got my first tattoo there and I will not go anywhere else but Warlock's. I have 3 tattoos now. Being new to the area I did my research and asked friends and people on the street where I should go for my tattoos and over and over again I kept hearing Warlock's. I went there and spent hours looking at all their tattoo selections. You have to visit Warlock's to know what I am talking about. Byron is the best and all the artists there are too. When people ask me ""who did your tattoos, they are so unique""? I stop and tell them Warlock's created all my great tattoos and I love them all! I won't go anywhere else. YOU have to go! Warlock's is World Famous, the oldest tattoo shop in the area and over 50 years experience. Pros: creative, great, unique, huge selection, talented, clean Cons: no regrets more

WARLOCKS IS THE WORST!!!!! 12/18/2008

This place is horrible. I walked in as i was getting off my cell phone and one of the workers told me to turn around and leave b/c it was a ""no cell phone zone"". I told him i was ending my call and he asked me to leave again. Needless to say I left gladly. They are complete jerks, I just came to look at some of their designs, but now i will never go back to ANY warlocks location again. Clearly if i was hanging up the phone there was no need to ask me to leave. Maybe if they were busy doing their jobs instead of congregating at the front chit-chatting they would care less if i was ending a phone call while walking into their ""no cell phone zone""!!!! The worst! more

BEWARE 10/29/2008

Complete idiots! The owner is pervert full of crappy racial and sexual jokes that leave you feeling very uncomfortable. He was more interested in flirting with us despite being 60 years old and married. To top it off he claimed to have drawn something for me when i found the same picture on the internet thankfully before i got tattooed. My friend went back to get her tattoo fixed later and he blaimed the crappy tattoo work he had done on her, then tried to charge her to fix it! We went to Phoenix and they agreed it was poor work and not my friends fault luckily they where able to fix it. I wouldnt let them tattoo me if it was free Pros: crappy jokes Cons: no talent more

Artists????? 10/21/2008

If you want a tattoo from a real artist..........go elsewhere. They make you feel like they are doing you a favor by tattooing you. The owner is a total idiot and totally obnoxious. Overpriced and undertalented. First timers.....Beware. Pros: great at being rude Cons: horrible work more

Complete jerks 10/7/2008

Their customer service is horrible and the owner is a complete creep! I went because my friend had gotten a tattoo by a guy who i came to find out wasn't even working there anymore. The owner was very rude when i asked them about where the guy was who did my friends tattoo and what happened to him. Cons: many more

Worst customer service 9/4/2008

I went to Warlocks because my husband got great customer service and a fantastic tattoo from Jason (who is no longer there). As soon as I walked in I felt completely uncomfortable, it was as if it pained the receptionist to say Hello. I wanted to talk to someone regarding a tattoo on my foot and also expanding the one on my back. She had me talk to Ryan, he barely acknowledged me and mumbled without even looking at me. When he told me that it had to be bigger I had him make it to the size it needed to be. I was unsure of the size since it was bigger than I really wanted and asked if I could see it on my skin. He told me to hold it up to it. Nice. I was fine with the size and decided I would get it, he walked off to talk to someone (not sure of his name but he was huge.) who promptly said it had to be even bigger. He said the ink could run together if it wasn't bigger. While I can appreciate someone recommending ways to make it better (they are the experts after all) it was clear he just couldn't be bothered with a trivial tattoo such as the one I wanted. At this point I had enough of the crappy service so we left. Perhaps if I had been tattooed head to toe I would have been better well received. I got the impression that they viewed me as some chick wanting some random tattoo when in fact I have 5 already, you just can't see them. I would not go back and would not recommend them to anyone. Customer service should be a top priority whether it is your first tattoo or your 100th. Pros: Clean Cons: Terrible customer service, rude employees. more

Depends on Your Tattoo Artist!!! ASK FOR RYAN! 8/20/2008

Ryan is the best tattoo artist at Warlock's in my opinion. He really listens to what you want, works with you and takes great pride in his artistry with a lot of detail. He will do whatever you want, customize tatoos, and will advise you if needed. He takes his time and makes sure you like whats being done as he does it. I cannot, however, say the same for the others there, particularly Greg. Avoid Greg at all costs (literally) unless you want to be told your ideas are ""stupid"", or that he can't do them because they are not ""big enough"". Basically, he tries to talk everyone in to the hugest tattoo possible so he can make more money. He doesn't care about a silly little thing like the fact that he's marking his customer for LIFE and it should be just the way you want it to look. He also uses very vulgar language - and I am hard to offend!! He drove me out of there initially, then I went back in and talked to Ryan, who seemed nice. The rest, as they say, is history. I have a gorgeous custom tattoo. Pros: The correct tatto artist. Very clean facility with sterile equipment. Cons: Greg and other rude, obnoxious tattoo ""artists"" that work there. more

Amazing place! 4/12/2008

I have gotten 3 tattoos there, and it makes a half sleeve on my right arm. I went in there and had some ideas for the sleeve. I talked to Greg and he drew some things up. Took about a week until he got around to calling me. I came in and what he had drawn was 100% custom and absolutely amazing. I have to give a shout out to GREG!! He has done amazing work on me, and I will NOT go anywhere else but to Warlocks with Greg there. He will make you a totally custom tattoo, and he is cool as ice. Great cutomer service, really friendly. Pros: Great customer service, great prices, GREG! Cons: None! more

First tattoo here! 2/27/2008

Going to Warlocks for my first tattoo was the best decision I made. As soon as I walked in the door I was amazed how clean it was, even the bathroom. The staff was very kind and informative, except for the receptionist, she seemed rude and made me feel as if I was bothering her. My tattoo looks great and I am very happy with the results. I did have to wait a while for an available tattooist, but it wasn't a big deal to me, I was in no rush. I would most definitely come back for more tattoos and recommend this place to anyone :) Pros: Licensed, clean, very sterile, nice tattooist Cons: busy more

go some where else 1/27/2008

I got my moms name in Arabic writing written across my foot. It came out slanted and the writing is completely wrong. The tat was stenciled out perfect on my foot yet the artist still messed up on it; something so simple. The artist was really rude too and didn?t make me feel comfortable at all. I can't remember his name but he was an older man who looked like he was a biker dude. The tattoo is about an inch long and they charged me $55 for it which is really over priced even if it did come out the way it should. Other people I have known that have gone there haven?t been too happy with the results either. Pros: clean Cons: over priced & rude, just about everything more
