Having just moved to Park Ridge, my wife and I (both in early 30's) decided to try Walters, ""one of the better restaurants"" in town.
We arrived on a Saturday night to find that we were the only couple under age 60. Furthermore, I felt completely overdressed wearing a button-down and nice dress pants. The owners very friendly and food satisfactory, but the service was relatively poor. My wife ordered from an outdatted 'Daily Specials' insert which wasn't available. The waiter asked me to ""select 2 or 3 bottles from the wine list because we are out of a few in the back"". We even noticed that ""old person smell"", like you'd find in your grandma's house.
Walter's looked like the place to be, say 10-15 years ago, but now it appears the owners are more focused on their retirement home in Florida than their restaurant.
Pros: not crowded, food
Cons: , ambiance, did I say, serivce?
