My interactions with Albemarle Wakefield Kennel have always amused me. I've never had a moment's hesitation that my dog will be well cared for - given her required medications, fed enough and in a timely manner, and so on. The staff at Wakefield clearly enjoy dogs and run a very professional operation.
It's just that with their clients' owners, the Wakefield crew seems to have a tougher time. There is little sense of humor or warmth and interactions with them take on a certain "let's get this over with" quality. Still, I've never been disatisfied and since the creature I really want to get their attention isn't me but rather my dog it's a quirk I can live with. Their prices are right and the care is good - a loving dog owner can't ask for more!
