n2dogz is a whiner. He's all over these sites complaining about everything. Make no mistake; this is the best fried chicken you've ever had. The old building, bar, and local crowd is all part of the ambiance. It's a small village pub in Indiana that happens to make the best pan fried chicken you've ever tasted. Pros: The Best! Locals say try the chicken. Hotel book shows ""The best pan-fried chicken in SE Indianna"". It should be ""in the 100 block of Main St"". \r First you will parrallel park on the street, and enter in the very smokey bar. That nicotine smell will permeate throughout the non-smoking section as well. The chicken was as small as a game hen. You not only get a half chicken, but they fried the back and included that on my plate as well. The seasoning was unexceptional, but maybe great for this area. I asked for some hot sauce condiment to finish the chicken, which cost me $1.00. Who charges for Hot sauce?? The server and the bar cashier just said sorry, and charged me.\r On a Tuesday Evening at 630PM I was the only one eating in the place, other than the 5 bar patrons. Where's the crowd? Wagner's Village Inn has the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. You get crispy, peppery, and plentiful chicken for an amazingly reasonable price. The slaw and the sauerkraut are also worthwhile but don't waste your space on the other, ordinary sides. Pros: Fried chicken worth a journey Cons: It can be hard getting a seat. more
