I have had experiences with Wade's Photography before, always with them as vendor supplying photographs on a mass basis to sporting teams. They have always been fairly organized and the photos they take have been of a decent quality for that type of product. I have been treated professionally and courteously and their prices are reasonable. Yesterday I took my son to have his photo taken with his team. I started to walk toward the area to observe this process from a distance. I was told by a lady at the table that they did not allow parents to go where the children were being photographed. (It was outside). I noticed parents back where the kids were being photographed. I commented that I guess it was ok for some parents, but not for others. (I know, that was a snide comment and I regret making it. It, however, appeared to be true) The lady at the table overlooked my comment, but the man sitting there, jumped up, wild-eyed and yelled that ""parents who cared about the well-being of their children didn't go back there, while the ones who didn't care, did go back there!"" I was stunned. I checked and yes, he did have a Wade's Photography shirt on. I also observed him answer this same concern from a lady (accompanied by her husband) with a mild comment. If by some chance he happens to read this, and the lady as well, I would like to apologize for my comment. It was out of line, and the actions of other parents should have no bearing on whether or not I follow the rules. I am really sorry about that, but this company has always had a good reputation with me and I was very surprised by this behavior. Surely this isn't the first time they have had to deal with a contrary (to use a nice term) mom. I have to say that this experience has made me take a good look at myself. I haven't seen the photos yet, but I expect they will be a good quality and next time our organization uses Wade's, I'll steer clear of the registration table and the photography area :)
