I found Vulcan quite expensive considering I only required a french drain on one cellar wall. The salesman had said the job would take about 5-6 hours and about a seven man crew....

Vulcan Basement Waterproofing was great. They did a gravity drain for the length of my basement, and pulled that trench into a sump pump. As of yet, I have not had any water issues in the basement. So far, it's been really excellent. They called just recently and came and did a regular check-up too. I was worried because I never heard the sump pump come on, but they confirmed that it was working. I thought that followup was excellent. more

Vulcan Basement Waterproofing 3/8/2013

I found Vulcan quite expensive considering I only required a french drain on one cellar wall. The salesman had said the job would take about 5-6 hours and about a seven man crew...not true! As it turned out, it took only 2 hours to complete by three men who said it was a small job. The crew did a fine job, were courteous and hardworking,keeping soils to a minimum. However, they did not move the sump pump opening or direct the water away from the foundation as the salesman had stated would be necessary. I guess I can rely on the crew's judgement. Also, it would have been nice if the crew had asked for a stepladder they could use, instead of uncovering and using a brand new kitchen ladder, leaving it full of cement. more

Overall good experience 3/13/2010

Allen kinda pressured me to sign up. When the work crew came, they wanted to charge me an extra $600 above and beyond the agreed estimate.\r Me basement was dry ever since, although there was still water dripping from cracks. The only diffeence was the drips went into the corner gap they created. Pros: no more flooding Cons: high sales pressure and overcharge more

be careful with Vulcan 9/15/2009

Vulcan has one approach to water problems and sells that to you regardless of whether it will solve your problem. Job was done on time and cleanly but did not remove our problem of water and dampness a basement room. Vulcan then gave us a run-around: not showing up for appts, not calling back, telling us to look at the fine print in the contract (not our problem!). Their salesmen will promise more than they can deliver. Sorry I worked with them. Pros: eager to get your business Cons: don't solve your problem more
