So I walk in and they got a bat flying around over the bar ( it was electronic dont worry ) only of after getting past their door guy, who I wouldnt want to mess with, they got some band that for the life of me I cant remember their name that was really pretty good on stage. You see the bartenders running around doing their best to keep up, some fellow metalheads digging the show, another security guy walking around and then what do my wandering eyes see?!! Yes, a 40+ year old man LINEDANCING to the metal music being played , up in the front by the stage. It just goes to show that it doesnt matter who you are or what type of music you get into, you can go down there and have a good time and no one is gonna bother or judge you, just as long as you have a good time of course. Ive been back out there on a number of occassions for more shows and met a few of the people that work there and their all pretty chill. The bartenders are SOO nice its not even funny, and thier security guys dont mess around either--which is good, because if you walk into the place and think that its just a crazy headbanging, biker/metal bar where rules dont matter your wrong. Ive seen those guys in action and they dont play. All in all its, in my opinion, a great place. I honestly go there now just to hang out regardless of whos playing-because you go there enough and you'll be remembered, its like cheers with metal, where everybody knows your name. Good music, good service, great atmosphere, clean bathrooms, nice people. Call me biased, I just like having a nice, clean, protected watering hole down the raod where I can go listen to some awesome rock/metal and just relax and have a good time. That and the fact that it seems like theyve always got a band out there, I never know what kind of show Im gonna come up on. Check it out and maybe you too will become a believer. Leave the negative conotations of a metal bar at home and bring a good time and a friend. As Toby put it "" I love this bar"".
Pros: Music, service, bathrooms, people, atmosphere.
Cons: can get kinda hot when theres a large crowd in the performance area
