My number one love in life is a good bbq joint. When my boyfriend suggested we have dinner at Virgils when we were leaving Madame Tousseaus last weekend, I was more than excited to check it out. It was after 11pm, and the place was crowded which was a drag....but lets get down to the food. The appetizers were delicious, we ordered hush puppies (which comes with a cinnamon butter that melts right into them) and the plate provided a generous proportion, leaving us with leftover hush puppies for two days. I ordered the brisket (my heart belongs to brisket!) and the lamb. I am not sure what kind of sauce they use, or how it is smoked, but it's incredible. The taste was so unique, with hints of sweetness spices that were out of this world. The meat was tender, fell apart in my mouth. We were too full for dessert (bummer) so we had coffee and were on our way. Also to mention, whoever our waitress was, she was really sweet and helpful. \r

If you went once and were not impressed, try it again. I am awfully picky about my bbq joints...
Pros: brisket, pulled pork, lamb, hush puppies, great service
Cons: very crowded
