Professional, reliable, fast 4/18/2012

Village Cleaners was my choice when I lived in Cary; they provided the most professional, reliable and fast service to me for many years. Recently I was back in town on a business trip for an important meeting; the morning of the meeting, I noticed a grease stain on my tie. Concerned about the meeting and while I was putting the last touches on my presentation, I remembered Village Cleaners; drove to their plant on Maynard Rd and within a few minutes, I was wearing my freshly steamed tie without a stain. Thank you to Village Cleaners' staff and management for saving my day! more

Friendly service, great prices 1/13/2010

Village Cleaners is by far the best laundry/dry cleaning service in town. I have been using their Maynard location and their Harrison location for almost a year. Their staff is super friendly and I get high quality service especially on my laundry shirts and dry cleaning for my suits. The prices are reasonable and what's really cool is that they have weekly discounted specials. if you want inexpensive dry cleaning yet quality service I would highly recommend Village Cleaners. They also have a drive thru which is really convenient when you want to drop something off or do a quick pick up. Pros: Best dry cleaning and laundry prices in town more

Worst customer service ever! 12/2/2007

We dropped off an item to be cleaned and were given our receipt. For various reasons we weren't able to pick it up for several weeks. No worries though - a sign on the wall stated ""Not responsible for items left over 90 days - it had only been 3 weeks, so our items were safe. WRONG! Went back to the store, and they couldn't find it (nor a tie for the gentleman in front of me). Employee took my name and number and said he'd look for it - could be at another store. I received no phone call. I went back and was referred to the main location. Spoke to the owner/manager who gave me the run around. Said it could have been sent to the wrong store. She took my name and number and would check on it and call. Never received a call. Went back to the store where I was told by the same lady that her records indicated that I had already picked up this item. I argued that this was not the case. Certainly I wouldn't be going through all this trouble if I already had the comforter. Within minutes she changed her story and said based on the number sequence of the receipt I had, that my comforter had been there for over three months (absolutely false!) and it is their policy to donate any items left over 90 days. Long story short - I ever received ANY call backs or assistance in locating the comforter. They have made no attempt to resolve this issue. Mistakes happen. I would be much more understanding if they just admitted that it was lost/donated. But they choose to place the blame on their customer. Pretty stupid on their part - the loss of my business will cost them more in the long run than the cost of the comforter that they should have replaced. When you have a business with a competitor on every corner, it pays to have good customer service. Hopefully this review will save someone else a lot of trouble. Cons: terrible customer service more

Miserable experience 8/9/2007

I needed a skirt cleaned for an interview. I dropped it off on a Thursday morning and was told it would be ready after 6:00pm on the following Monday. I got there at 6:10 to pick it up and it hadn't been returned from being cleaned yet. It did not get there until 6:54 and they closed at 7pm. The young girl was nice, but I had to change my plans for that evening to wait. She was on the phone with her manager so I asked her if she could ask her manager if I could have a refund since I had to wait almost an hour to get my skirt even though they had an enormous amount of time to get it cleaned. The manager said no, that he was sure I was told I could pick it up after 6pm, but they didn't specify what time after 6pm. I just left, because the poor teenager was in a bad spot and couldn't do anything. Just don't go there. Pros: I did manage to get my skirt back Cons: Poor service, Clothes not available when supposed to be, long time to clean clothes more
