So, last night was my Prom. I went there with friends and all. The servers seemed crabby and very unsatisfied with their job. The food was terrible. The potatoes were not cooked fully, the salad had too much vinaigrette, and the desert was an absolute joke! If you want to go, all I have to say is that you better think it over, because it is not what you may think it is. \r Yuck was the food and service terrible! ! ! more

This has to be one of the most over rated places I have herd of. The food was typical italian and a little over priced. We waited for over 15 minutes and the place looked empty. The waitress was nice but seemed like she didn't know what was going on . This place has started to get a bad reputation as a sleezy hang out. Too bad because the building looks nice. I visited Villa Penna for a work party last weekend. There were about 35 of us. the food was served buffet style and was ok. The drinks were reasonably priced. The staff was way too young and seemed to be disorganized. I saw a couple of the staff drinking and I would bet that they were not 21yrsold. This is strange because two of the people in our groups were cops . The pizza and salad was average . We played bocce ball which is a lot of fun. Some guys said some offensive stuff to my girlfriend so i told left early. more

This is a great place for large parties and the food is always great. I have been here many times and the staff is always very nice. The facility is very clean. more

We had our wedding reception here, and have been coming back ever since. Every time we are there we are treated as family. The service is wonderful, and the food is always prepared to perfection. Pros: Ambience, Service,everything!!! more

We had our highschool prom at Villa Penna. At the time, I was amazed at the decor of the building. It is very classy, with the grand staircase and the piano player in the lobby, then you walk into the banquet room and are taken back by the beautiful tables and the outstanding food. The staff is very professional and each time I have gone back for a wedding or an event, I am more and more pleased. The food seems to get better and better. Their mostacolli is out of this world and the bread is super tasty. The prices are high, but I guess it is worth the money to be treated like royalty! more

Villa Penna is a well know site to have a wedding reception. I have been to Villa Penna two different times for wedding and they were wonderful. The atmosphere itself is very classy. Their staff made sure everything was perfect for my cousin?s wedding. They really went above and beyond. Since one wedding was a family member I know that the prices are steep but it is so worth it. They also include a coordinator and valet with the wedding package. more

I used Villa Penna in Sterling Heights, MI for my August 27, 2004 wedding.. I could not have been happier with the service.. they have a reputation that is outstanding, they are known for their delicious food and great service.. they were extremly helpful before, during and after our wedding reception.. everything was top notch.. I do not have any complaints about anything.. they really go out of their way to make sure you, the customer, gets exactly what you desire.. if you are looking for a place to hold your reception or any large group function you must meet with Villa Penna, you will not be disappointed.. their food is the best around and their service is superior.. I would recommend and use them again in a heartbeat.. the location is just beautiful, the entry was is gorgeous with beautiful spiral staircase and fireplace.. valet is (or at least was when we got married) included in the package which is always a plus.. the prices are a little higher then some of the other reception more

I have been going to this restaurant for years. The owner is a sweetheart and I've never had a bad meal. And if you like Bouce Ball, you'll love their court in back. more
