We are very lucky to have Vecky Bakery in Pembroke Pines. I have had the pleasure of purchasing their birthday cakes and pastries for several years. Their food has always been a big hit at my parties. I also enjoy their cafe con leche, Cuban toast, and pastries. I visit this bakery at least four times a week and their food and service is always wonderful. more

The management does not have an idea of what customer service signifies! The cake was disgusting and not what I ordered! more

First, the cake we ordered was for my cousins small wedding, the cake was ordered a week in advance. The Saturday of the wedding came and the cake wasn't ready at 12 pm, the manager (wide blonde lady) told us that sorry what was she to do? ( with a huge attitude, we were calm) so she said that what she can do is deliver the Cake at 2 which is when the wedding started and we agreed. Time passed and the cake still wasn't there, at 4:15pm the two employees of the bakery arrived and brought the cake. My mom had a balance remaining and she asked the girl to ask the manager, if she had to pay since it was late? The manager answered with an attitude if they don't want it bring it back! Ofcourse my mother paid for it afterall it was my cousins wedding. Then they left and we were cutting the "rum cake" with fondant. The cake was horrible it wasnt rum it was a nasty syrupy cake with the super sweet fondant! What an unprofessional, disorganized bakery and lack of customer service! more

This is our favorite place to pick up breakfast on the weekends--a large cafe con leche, a cortadito, and a box of fresh pastelitos. I like the ones that have cream cheese in them and are covered in crystal sugar. They also make this one cake that they sell by the slice--it is a white/vanilla cake soaked in some kind of sugary syrup and topped in white sugar frosting--it's soooo good! We also keep the bocaditos in the house for a little midnight snack...you just can't beat Vecky's in Pines for those flaky goodies. more

Horrible. First, if you are not Latino you are ignored. Secondly, many of their products are stale and lack authentic baked goods flavor. The red velvet cake is bland and the frosting is cheap and weak tasting, equivalent to store brand whipped cream. Their ingredients taste cheap. You are better off with a trusted grocery store bakery than this under tasting food. more

My clients purchase their special that included the cake that feeds up to 100 people but the only thing that went wrong was that the cake was way to huge and the box that they gave us couldnt support the cake enough. The cake box looks like the regular size box but stabled togather to cover around the cake. I believe if you are going to serve a cake with that size you need to provide your customers with a more supportive box to ensure accidents from happening. more

For my son's first birthday I decided to try something new. I had heard from other people how good their pastries were and decided to stop by to buy a cake. The decoration itself was very attractive and the price as well ($9.99, serves 10) but once we got it home and ate it, I regretted buying it, serving it to my guests and paying for it. The cake itself was horribly dry, my father in law called it "sawdust", the frosting was marshmallow fluff, which they failed to tell me and honestly, I didn't ask assuming most bakeries frost with buttercream. At the same time, I bought some pastries as fingerfoods for the small party, those were delicious. The meat, ham and cheese pastries tasted fresh and crisp. I will probably buy those again, but never one of their cakes. more
