If you want your home totally protected against termites this is not the company to use. They have great pitches and advertisements but this is all this company is good for. Recently I had this company come to my home for their 399.00 special to treat my home. they explained they would treat the perimeter of my home and install bait stations as a secondary protection plan surrounding my home. I asked the representative what chemical they use for treatment and it was premise made by bayer both reputable products and company. this information was given to me by the corporate office in matthews North Carolina. Also with the plan I was to receive FREE pest control and a 1 million dollar damage repair warranty. Sound great signed up and had the come to my home. I also requested a copy of the contract and the rep stated that didnt send them out but I would receive one the day of the service. This made me alittle scared but I continued with the appointment. The tech came to my home showed me the contract it was rather long but I wanted to watch him perform the service. So I signed it and paid him the 399. to do the service. He inspected my home, found no termites but I needed the plan, installed the bait stations and sprayed around the home. I asked him what chemical he was using and he stated imaxx pro. I asked him about the premise and he stated they didnt use that. I also asked him why he didnt drill my garage and porch and he stated because I didnt have any termites they didnt need to do that. He stated the bait stations would protect me and i would be fine. When he was spraying around my home I asked him if that was for termite control and he stated he was doing the outside pest control. I asked what about the spray for temites. He stated that I didnt have any so I didnt need it. At this point I called the call center again and they stated if i didnt have termites they wouldnt treat the whole home and that i maxx pro would kill any termites that showed up. Well 1 month later termites showed up in my garage and started to chew up the floorboard in my home. Called the call center again and they sent tech out next day to look. when he came he drilled appx 4 feet on each side and put chemical in some type of foam. I asked him about the damage they cause he stated it was a old infestation and was covered. I asked the tech what if they pop up 10 feet from where he drilled and treated this time...he stated it still wouldnt be covered because they dont cover about 20 feet from the original infestation..WHAT A RIP OFF. I called the state pest control regulation and they are very aware of Mr. Bob Jones and Valuepest and have had many many complaints about this company. Because they only put bait stations out appx every 15 feet termites can still get thru and attack your home because there is no liquid treatment outside your home. They put this plan in place and hope you dont get hit by termites and if you do they will spot treat it. There was no condusive conditions for termites to attack my home because since all this happened with Valuepest I contacted Terminex and had them do a full liquid treatment at my home and since have had no problems. I and several of my neighbors and friends who also have had this substanderd treatment at our homes are currently seeking litigation against this company in a class action. After communicating at length with the ValuePest president (Bob Jones), I am convinced that the experience that I had with this company was the exception, rather than the norm. After ValuePest management and I thoroughly reviewed and discussed the events leading to my complaint, it appears that both sides had contributed to the unfortunate misunderstanding that prompted me to initiate this negative review. After our discussions, ValuePest and I have settled our differences to my complete satisfaction.
